Just out of curiosity, are you using the digital display to estimate fuel economy, or are you doing the tried and true method (full it up, drive and log, and fill it up)? I'm just curious how the digital display's fuel economy is calculated. If it's based on pulse width and fuel pressure (and you have new injectors with boost) and it still "thinks" you have the old injectors never at boost, then it might not be doing as well as thought. Fuel mileage could be a ratio of old injector size/new injector size*digital dislay readout?
Again, I don't know, but I wouldn't trust the digital gauge after fuel mods. |

I'm using the digital readout, I did not think that would not be accurate. I will use the old method for the next fill up and compare it to the digital readout.

Awesome stuff Juan... Glad you did get to run it. Without the to end limiter, that car will post a nice speed. The coolest thing is that you are out there driving the car everyday AND running it at an event like Top Gun Run. "Someday" when I get my car back, it'd be fun to go to some of these events with ya. They are what having a Camaro is all about.

Update - 1-26-2010
I now have over 7,000 miles on the car, I have been driving it everyday to work and on the weekends. I went to the track last weekend (drove 80 miles each way) and ran 11.5 @123 mph.
No issues with the filters so far and I have driven the car plenty in the rain being in FL. I still have a blast driving the car daily and it is super fast.....I am still considering adding the boost controller to add a few lbs of boost, but I don't want to ruin a good thing and break the car because I'm getting greedy....mid 11's is pretty good to be a daily driver....I'm going to change oil and clean filter next..... I will give another update in a few months. |
