With the VTC, if you turn off TC and floor it, the car will literally melt the tires. It would never do that before.

No, not really. One prob with the VTC is that it is very hard to describe how it changes the car. Imagine just barely pressing the pedal and having instant wheelspin... it can do that. It makes it like driving a different car, but it's hard to put into words.

Today...VTC, SP5, about 28 degrees out, dry out, no ice (just dusty roads from salt, etc).
I was going about 35 - 40mph in the left lane, the right lane opened up so I decided to hop over, then punch it (yes, I know I shouldn't be passing on the left). Not WOT (which, IMO, the VTC doesn't impact too much), but maybe 3/4th. My tires spun, while accelerating from 40mph, for about 6 car lengths before it grabbed. Keep in mind, this is an A6, all seasons, not in manual mode, V6, 2LS gearing, TC and SC on.

I have a feeling you posted something I can't see at work.
But, it wasn't smoky Hellcat burnouts. But, my tires spun, my TC light was flashing like mad, and I continued moving forward. I didn't get any grip for about 6 car lengths. Cold tires and a bit of road salt can do that. EDIT: Pulled it up on my phone, lol. For what it's worth, I'm not quite attributing this to the VTC 100%, as in general I wasn't gripping very well today. Lots of loss of traction.

What do these things cost? Just have your tuner adjust throttle response in a tune.

Viteese Throttle Controller - Poll
Don't get me wrong, these are good and I love mine (with my tune). But given the choice a tune is a much better option for $400-500 as it does so much more and actually adds HP. The TBC does nothing more the a quicker throttle. With that said I still highly recommend it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by nyrfan; 02-10-2015 at 08:07 PM. |

Sure a tune can adjust your throttle response BUT this adds more and makes it much more customizable. Best case is a tune with the TBC as I have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
