You wanna put an SS nose on your V6? Cool. A ZL1 front fascia and hood on your SS? Awesome. In a visual sense, the 5th gen Camaro is one of those rare cars where the aftermarket hasn't done much that actually looks better than the upper-level factory offerings. Just don't slap on the badges from those higher end rides and try to pass it off as something it's not. That's just poor taste.
6 - 7k? I don't remember the exact cost, but I believe the 45th Anny package was about $2k.

What I don't get is why some v6 people put an ss bumper on their car? My friend has a 2010 synergy edition and he got a ss bumper. I guess it looks good, but if I were him I would rather have a zl1 bumper since it's alot different and in my opinion looks alot more aggressive. Plus it doesn't look like someone just got that bumper to make people think it's a v8(just my opinion). Just don't put badges that say you car is something it's not. Even worse telling people....

That's not posing in my book... that is making a unique difference.

So a V6 with an SS bumper is a poser but a ZL1 bumper is ok because you personally like it better? Wow... this is a strange place.

If the front bumper of mine was damaged, I'd consider changing it to a different one. I don't care much for the ZL1 version. You just never know why people do what they do, but I really can't see anyone thinking they'll pay for all that, plus paint, in hope to make others think it really is a V8.

No he just got it this year.... And I'm saying that the zl1 bumper much more different than the ss bumper is to the v6(mailslot). I have seen people with zl1 bumper put badges like ss to show that they don't have a zl1. It doesn't make you a imposter unless you say or put badges on your car that isn't true. So I guess if you put a ss bumper on a v6 it's fine. But I don't see why pick the ss bumper over the zl1 unless price or just leaving the bumper as is or even going aftermarket? Can't believe I had to explain this lol.......

Because, quite frankly, it's the best looking bumper for the 5th gen from the factory or the aftermarket. It deletes the SS mail slot, has a great looking splitter, a larger lower grille for better airflow and if you get the full setup there's a belly pan and provisions for brake ducts. The ZL1 hood is, again, the best looking and functional vented hood out there. Every time I sit down to budget the option of keeping the SS nose, adding a 1LE splitter and a vented hood of some kind I'm reminded that just doing the ZL1 front clip isn't much more from a cost standpoint. I couldn't care less if others thought it was a ZL1.

zL1 super charger, brakes, wheels, bumper, trunk and spoiler. 1le struts and shocks, etc... Too much to list. I had an auto 2SS RJT and wanted something unique...

And it is more functional too!

Love your car Hammdo, very nicely excecuted. I do think that the "Z/LE" tag is corny as all get up though, no offense.

I think any upgrades are totally fine. Plus the OEM stuff just looks better on most. you can tell quick at a show with the hood up. Plus there are some TT V6 cars here that will smoke quite a few of the V8s.

I still kick myself a bit that I did not add the 1LE option when I built my car. I figured two things:
- A bit rougher ride may not be what I want exactly
- I was getting a black car and I did not want the wrap on the hood and the black wheels.

Thinking now, I wish I would have ordered the option, removed the wrap, and traded someone here local the black wheels for the stock rims. Oh well. Love my SS anyway, but would have added that option if I had it all over again.
