That's just it -love it or hate it. Where a lot of people will, say, settle for silver if they can't get the exact color they want, I think more people are likely to say yellow is a dealbreaker. You'll notice yellow is ranked 2nd on the "Least Favorite Color?" thread, for instance. I'm not dissing yellow Camaros or people who own yellow cars, I'm just stating what I've seen. It may be a regional thing.

In the "What Color Did You Buy?" thread, yellow is tied for 6th. That's only out of 10 colors, though. Meaning only 3 colors got worse than yellow.

Not sure how to take this. The OP is looking at a $2k loss on his Camaro.

I would think that isn't bad at all really. Most cars drop far more than that once you drive away from the dealer.

This isn't a highly valued exotic like a Ferrari or Lamboghini.

What do you expect?

Even most Corvettes take a pretty healthy hit once you have taken delivery.

Some of you folks like to bash this guy who i think is asking a fair price for his car. For any detractors who don't like yellow, you're missing out as far as i'm concerned. I have a rally yellow 2ss and it's badass................
i've wondered why there is a backlash on that color as it stands out just as good as any other color. This guy has gotten a lot of the peanut gang who think they have the pulse of the buying public. IF you come down south with that car, it'd be gone by sundown. We have very few camaros here in east TN and if the OP brought the car down south, this conversation would be over instantly. the demand for this car, new or used is still very high and regionally it's even worse. I don't buy the standard comments here about the car sitting in car lots being unsold because i know for a fact YOU CANNOT keep this car on the chevy dealers lots in this region. IT just doesn't happen.
TO the op, my suggestion is to hook up with a southern dealer, and make a deal to sell it down here. You may be surprised at the outcome!

I like the look of yellow, only one problem and it might sound super silly but it's my opinion. I didn't want to hear the "oh bumblebee" a billion times. That's just me though.

what about the sticker being $36,900 dont you understand?

that link is for a manual transmission 1SS, mine is a A6 2SS, I am asking $2k under what you would have to pay for the same car new, end of story

Again, I think yellow Camaros are nice. I personally would have it nearer the bottom of my color choice list, but it's still obviously a great car. Plenty of people won't have a black car because of how much cleaning it takes. I'm just stating what I've read, and if it's inaccurate, by all means, correct me. I've read that a "non-standard" color like yellow is harder to sell. The problem isn't it standing out, it's that a lot of people don't want a yellow car. How many people do you know, when asked their favorite color, would say, "Yellow?" That's why there are less of them on the street than black, red, white, etc. Of course, that carries an advantage - yellow won't be as common. Had I gone w/ yellow, I'd have the only yellow Camaro in my area. But all I did was state what I've heard, my opinion, and pointed out the polls in our OWN forum - that yellow is #2 on the "Least Fave Color" poll, and only beating 3 colors on the "What Color Did You Buy" poll. These are facts (or were at the time I wrote that.) I mean no disrespect to yellow cars or their owners.

Yeah, but look at it from the buyer's perspective. For the money we'll be laying down anyway, $2K isn't really a big deal. I can get a brand new car just the way I want it for 72 months of payments, or I can have a used one for 68 months of payments. There is a certain satisfaction in knowing you're the only owner, and I don't think $2K is quite enough to negate that. If you haven't had any bites, it sounds like that's the consensus. You say you've treated the car well, but of course, the buyer is going to look at it that you want to sell the car. (And I believe you, it's just that some stranger buying your car is going to be thinking the worst.)

What part of depreciation dont you understand? When Supply > Demand yes the price goes up, but right now Supply and demand are about equal. Or have you not noticed the Camaro's that are sitting on dealership lots?

If you want to get the most money you can, then go to a dealership, put it on allocation. Tell them what you want for it, and let the sales people sell it for you.
