Great thread. I just swapped the whole cradle out of my car and put the zl1 cradle in. No sweat really, but I noticed the ZL1 wiring harness has many more sensor wires and the connector is not the same. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the zl1 rear cradle wiring harness? I only need to map the 4 ABS sensor wires to mine. I couldn't find any adapter online.

Could be Magnetic Ride Control connections. Other than that, the coolant lines are the only other things I can think of.

So, I am doing this swap soon, have the GM kit. Can anyone tell me what the "exhaust mods" are that are needed with a stock exhaust system?

With the NPP exhaust, I don't remember having to make any mods.

I put my SS Cradle Harness on my ZL1 Cradle and removed the extra sensors no longer connected.

Worked like a charm.I do not believe you can plug anything into the wrong place based on length of wires and connectors.

I purchased a used zl1 rear end with axles and driveshaft to swap into my manual trans SS Camaro and I'm ordering the trans flange along with all nuts and bolts.

On the gm parts list it shows Trans Flange Nut 1 89059464 and Trans Flange Washer 1 89059465 but these are not listed in the parts list on this post, are the ones on my SS trans flange I'm removing reusable or are these needed?

I got the nut off but the trans flange won't budge? Anyone else have this problem trying to pry it off but man it's on there. Any thoughts?

It should be able to slide off with some prying after that pita nut is finally off. I did nothing with that trans flange once off. You cant reuse it. Get a good cheater bar for prying and go around each triangle to loosen it. Check the condition of the emergency brake cable connection when u have the driveshaft off. Good luck.

I ordered every part on the official parts list for the swap except for the driveshaft and rear end itself. I wound up not using some since i swapped the whole cradle. After spending $100 on that darn flange, the rest didnt seem to matter.
