That trap speed(108) should equate to about a 12.60 ET. I think they had a shitty launch.

Ok, I couldn't resist. But I'll be getting the manual no matter what. Simply because I like to drive stick. Gives my left foot something to do. When I get in an auto car now, I always drop my left foot to the floor when I go to start it, and it really, really depresses me. Maybe I'll get the auto and install a fake clutch pedal, and pretend I have no-lift shifts.

This is quite possible. In fact, quite probable.

I really hope those numbers are incorrect for the manual. That guy needed a shift light or something. Maybe he didn't have his "launch control" button on and his traction control off or was in "sport" mode. Depends on the weather and altitude also as some people have mentioned.

Well, be that as it may, i'm still getting the manual regardless--with the few mods i'm planning anyway, should be right where the alleged automatic is

I agree, I had a 14.24 at 102.3 with my Acura CL, to be sure you would have a quicker E.T. than what was stated by Oppenheiser for a 108 trap speed.

The Challenger can do a 13.0 flat and weighs a few hundred pounds more.

I wouldn't get too excited there chief...we can always go get the auto and go faster. Your stuck with getting a man...wait your doesn't even come in a manual, unless you drop about 50 horse. Seems like the "challenger" is coming up just a wee bit short.

For the rest of us Camaro fans....just tell everyone "No it's really fast, I got the auto, in a controlled environment, on the right day, with the right driver, man she will fly!! Oh that other pedal? I just rest my foot on it when I'm at stop lights"

I'm getting the manual. For crying out loud even the magazines can't agree on a 0-60 time and 1/4 mile times for the same cars.

Here's a tip...Get the car YOU want! Life is too short to worry about what the other guy thinks.

I second that...................there's such a big discrepancy between all the car mags -----

6-speed all the way!!!!!!!!

so many factors go into posting your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times... temperature, wind direction, elevation, barometric pressure, tire size, the traction the surface you are running on and the big one THE DRIVER (reaction time, speed of shifting, weight etc). That is why every magazine will have different times listed, because they are never done in the same place at the same time with the same driver. Even if they did that it will vary. Even drag racers running the same car will get a different ET on every run.

I'll disagree with RT (reaction time). if they are using the G-tech then RT doesn't matter it only start recording after the first 10 feet. and with the TR6060 tranny you will do 60 mph in first. but yea a ton of factors go in to it and I only believe my own times. . .
