Buy the item individually from the dealer later. Pay out the butt, but you could buy exactly what you want. It'll probably cost more because you get a discount when you buy the package.

I'm sure the aftermarket will proliferate with parts, so although I can agree with concerns, maybe you'll find something more fitting to your tastes through the aftermarket. I think the aftermarket would be a little more competitive, price-wise though. I WILL say, that working in the bodyshop, I saw more garbage from the aftermarket (i.e. spoilers, facias, etc.) than I did from the OEMs. An SS spoiler, for example, from GM is way better than one my brother put on his car. The upper half and lower half started splitting after only like a year or so. It was pretty pathetic.

That's not a bad idea at all. I got dark gray leather seats, but want tan...and the factory wouldn't let me order it that way. But, other guy has it flip flopped and wants my seats. Easy swap? You betcha. I like this idea.

This is what scares me.

Most everything says available on select models.
USB
Boston Acoustics
steering wheel controls.
YOu can load up a V6 with just about every option! Don't worry!

but at the end of the day I really don't care what packages gm sells with the car as long as I get a SS with 6spd for a great price I'm happy.

on a side note, if the SS comes with 20inch stock does that mean if someone buys the rs package will he or she be getting a different design 20inch rim on the SS.

Pricing has not been finalized -- but looking at our targets, I think many people will be pleasantly surprised!

A few simple, easy to order option packages makes sense.

Very good!

If every car was built exactly the same -- no options -- everything standard, the quality would be virtually perfect -- it's when there are variations that you get into trouble.........

Packaging allows us to offer you a car for much less money -- and a car with much higher quality.

There's a reason every manufacturer (save Rolls Royce and Bentley) now have packages -- it's called cost.

Did I mention that there will be MANY Dealer installed accessories -- allowing you to tailor the Camaro to your liking -- and then there are the aftermarket accessories.

If you don't like leather, I suspect there will be a company offering houndstooth seats -- not GM -but I can imagine that traditionalists will want houndstooth....

I have to say, I'm really dissapointed in the options packages. I mean no Flux Capacitor, no "nuclear power" package, no "transform into a 40ft robot" package, and I don't even see fuzzy dice in any of them either!!!

Oh well, I guess I CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING.

I'll take a black/black RS/SS M6 in April please, with or without HUD

I have HUD on one of my vehicles, and I love it. Helps keep focus on he road instead of the Dasboard.

Therefore, it is a bit of a disappointment it won't be available from he start.

I don't want to take off anything from the interior.. I've had my fare share of loose bolts after doing those types of things before.. I'll keep it stock all the way... However I do hope I can order an SS/RS with cloth and pay a little less in the process if possible.. I will not have the dealer swap out any seats either...

"just about".. So which ones can't be ordered besides the V8 grill and slit? Not that I am interested in a V6, but others might want to know what they are missing or could be missing.. In other words, what unique option or options does the V8 have that cannot be found/ordered on the V6?? The 21 inch wheels, brakes and rear spoiler along with front fascia are the only differences I can see? However what about the interior?
