I just got my Flowmaster kit (model 817483) put on my LS by a very experienced local exhaust shop. This was their first Camaro V6. They welded the pipe and tack welded the tips instead of using the clamps. Mellowed out the sound without making it too loud (my wife was worried and she didn't complain:-). One side went on fine, one side had to be cut a little to get the pipe centered. Abount 1.5 hrs. to install. The stock muflers are huge and heavy. The black Flowmasters are much less visible from the Mustang position now ;_0. Has a very deep bass rumble when you first start it in the garage. Very pleased. The shop owner was surprised to see a V6 with a true dual exhaust. He thought the stock pipes sounded pretty good (so do I) but a little more flow and rumble can't hurt! The shops ramps were the drive on kind which is nice for this type of work as you don't have to worry about the alignment shifting when the weight shifts back to the suspension. Tips look good, 4 inch straight cut vs. the stock 3 inch diagonal cut. All in all a nice product at a nice price.

OOPS !!!! Measured from the wrong point ... It should be 9" back from the tip of the hanger ( by your thumb) and you would have been fine ...

That's perfect for me. I work at a school. I don't want to interrupt class too much. Haha.

is the 40 series delta flowmaster axel back system still on sale for $564? i see that the post saying that it was for sale for that price is kinda old so just thought I'd ask. trying to save up the money to buy it should have it sometime soon.

UPS delivered my Flowmasters yesterday and had them installed today. I love it. The car finally sounds as badass as it looks.

autoanything.com if you do a search on google for "autoanything coupon" or go to "retailmenot.com" you should find a code to enter that will get you some around 5-15% off, that would bring the price to around 400. autoanything has free shipping so that is a nice saving also

When you said normal take off I thought you meant hard acceleration

Wife got me the flowmasters for Christmas (she got tired waiting for me to make up my mind..lol) Anyway I installed them yesterday and have to say I'm very pleased with the sound on an M6. Install was easy after I learned from this thread that the instructions were misleading. Anyone doing this install needs to pay attention to the measuring point in flowmasters video. Power increase is noticeable by the butt dyno. Now I need to quit procrastinating and get an Injen!.
