Ha! I live alone and have a lot of free time most evenings to indulge. I started by contacting GM but amazingly enough, they kept no records of which CEs went out the door with automatics versus manuals, which I find to be very odd. One would think that just from an AR/AP point of view, there would be a record, but what do I know? So, it started from there and just sort of became a challenge. I think it stands to reason, there are more of them than what I have found so far, but I can say with some authority, they are very scarce. Oh and welcome to the site! Let's see a pic of your ride!

Very clean looking ride! And yep, that looks like Missouri! I was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood in the early 80s. Loved the state and the people. Nothing but great memories of my time there.

Fort Lost in the Woods huh? I went to college in Rolla. Missouri has some great stuff. I've lived there longer than anywhere else and enjoyed it.

that sir is the optional GM GFX. Don’t see them as much these days but they are a fine looking kit. My first SS had them. Love your car, all it needs is a bigger rear spoiler and a heritage grill and it’ll be perfect! (just my opinion of course) here’s my first SS with said mods.

Yes Southwest Missouri is a great place to be! The pics were actually taken just south of the Missouri border in Omaha, Arkansas at my father in law’s place.

No. 5th Gens are not becoming "rare".
Good condition 4th Gens are and prices reflect it. Plus, in the next few years many (ls1) 4th Gens will hit the 25 year mark. Time flies! |

It's possible that over the next 5-10 years, you may see fewer older cars on the streets as newer models become more popular. However, there will still be car enthusiasts who enjoy classic and vintage cars, so it's unlikely that you will be the only person cruising around in your 2011 SS.
Additionally, the lifespan of cars has increased over the years, so it's not uncommon to see cars that are over 10 years old still running smoothly. As long as you take care of your car and keep it well-maintained, it can last for many years to come. Ultimately, the popularity of older cars will depend on a variety of factors, including cultural trends, economic conditions, and technological advancements. However, if you love your car and take care of it, there's no reason why you can't continue to enjoy it for many years to come. |
