Well I met this guy on HP Tuners named Greg Huggins, he is a long time tuner of the gen 4 ls's. I recruited his help on tuning my VVE side of my tune. Let me just say this, he is very good at what he does. He is well known in the HPT community. Anyways he did a fantastic job on my tune! He got my VVE tuned to where it will now run without my MAF sensor if I ever go maf less or if my maf sensor fails. It runs completely different now for the better as well as idle quality and overall drivability. He got my BRAF down to half of what it was set to with the maf only tune. Just wanted to share for anyone looking to do a remote tune with a very nice and professional tuner. You can find him on the HPT forum.

I've only got like three weeks until ls festival! Me and my twenty year old son are going for the second time. We got a hotel room at the same place as last year right down the street from Texas Motor Speedway. Last year I didn't participate in the races because I felt like my car was hurt with my engine sounding like a sewing machine because of the bent valve or valves and it was down on power, but I enjoyed watching my son in his built C5. So, this year with my new engine and perfected tune me and my son will be doing the autocross, track x, 3S challenge, and drag racing over the course of two days of fun. And no I'm not doing the burn out contest or drifting, lol. I have now have two autocross's at COTA under my belt. I know not a ton of experience but at least it's something so I'm not going in blind. I've done a couple drag race events in the past with my 06 Charger SRT so I'm not a complete noob at it. Anyways it should be a fun weekend so wish me a little luck.

Well guys it happened. I got into a wreck. I won't get into all the ends and outs about but, I will say this. Whenever you slow down to make a u turn, make sure you watch the car behind you because apparently if you go to slow they might try to go around you and take off the front of your car.
Anyways it has been a brutal last couple of months. I had a hell of a time with the insurance company and it stresses me out to even thinking of all I had to go through. With that being said I finally got my money from them and immediately bought my car back from the insurance company for hardly nothing to get all my mods back that I ha don the car especially for the engine. So, then I bought another 2012 Camaro SS exactly the same as my black Camaro SS with the exception of the color. Then I took it to my go to shop Exodus and had them switch out all of my stuff from the wrecked car to the new car witch actually ran fine it was just really slow compared to my engine. lol. I had them swap out the engine, torque converter, gas tank, exhaust, rear subframe, shocks and springs, and brakes. I then sold the engine out of the new car to the shop witch took care of most of the bill. Also while they had the engine out I went ahead and had them change out the head gasket's with some cometic .040 gasket's to increase my compression ratio from 10.56:1 to 10.96:1 to help with the hp a little bit. I didn't have them re dyno it just yet but I can tell you it now runs better then ever with the vve tuning that I've done. It idles and cruises just incredibly better so I'm a happy camper at this point. Here's a picture of the new ride.

Thanks buddy. Yeah I actually replaced the wheels with new ones because one of the old wheels got damaged in the wreck and I liked them so much I thought what the heck I might as well stick with what I like.

Sorry to hear of your car woes. Glad that it wasn't a serious accident and you aren't injured. It sucks when some other asshole ends up ruining your car and you have to deal with all the troubles involved. I had a truck back up into my trans am at a red light and drove on top of the hood. Then I had a lady rear end me at a stop sign... People are so oblivious and careless. Glad you got it sorted out and built it back better.

Wow brother!! Sad your Camaro got wrecked by a careless driver doing stupid stuff! Glad you are alright though, all that really matters. Also happy that you found a new Camaro AND were able to get your old one back and swap over all the "goodies" to your new ride. That's awesome! Your new Camaro looks great too by the way!
