Didn't get out to get pics since the wife got home late last night from work. But the stitching is not purple, only the stripe accent in the seat is purple. Black leather with purple stripe in the bach of the seat.

It's suppose to clear up today and I'll get out there and clean up the Challenger and the Camaro and post some pics of both!

How does the interior materials/fit & finish/comfort, etc. compare between the two to you? I've thought about getting one of the V6 variants of either of the two cars as my DD, but the Camaro's interior is way below par for my liking, and the Challengers seems downright somber. Challengers V6 is also WAY underpowered.

Also, would you say the Challenger has a comfier ride and more soundproofing? These unconventional questions are mostly due to all the long work trips and high mileage I'd be putting on the DD.

Of course the V6 and V8 versions of these cars will differ greatly, so some of your findings probably won't apply to what I'm looking for fully.

I know I'll get killed for this...but the interior of the Challenger is very nice! Fit and finish are great and the materials feel nice to the touch. There is plastic in there on the doors and such but the dash is done the right way, soft to the touch (unlike the Camaro's hard plastic!). ....and yes, I know all Dodge interiors look like this one...I've never owned a Dodge though!

The ride is super nice! As far as a daily cruiser...I'd say better than the Camaro...it also has more room in both front and rear passenger areas. Very quiet in the cabin area...more than the Camaro. Leather in the Camaro seems to be a little softer/nicer...but since it's new (the Challenger), we'll wait and see. Full NAV screen as well on the Challenger...M6 is nice and smooth and the clutch is a little softer than the Camaro.

Wife drives 20 miles or so to work so she is on the road 40 plus miles a day...it will serve her very well! It is the SRT8 version so the "extra" comforts are nice to have. Never looked at the V6 version and once I priced an RT out with the upgrades, no reason not to spend a little more and get the SRT8.

Overall...very well made car it seems, very comfortable, great retro styling too! We both love it!

Been looking at them for her for a couple months and yesterday found the exact one she wanted! M6 with NAV, no sunroof...exact match!!

I've drove it a bit yesterday and it's a very, very nice ride!! It's comparable to the Camaro SS as far as power though I'd have to give the overall nod in power to the Camaro SS.

The ride though...is great! Lots of room too!

She loves the retro styling and I have to say myself...it's actually a very nice car!

Thanks! I Appreciate that. Sounds like it's a great cruiser, brings back memories of those early muscle car cruisers while the Camaro and Mustang edge near "sports car" territory more-so.

I am looking to trade in my magnum str8 on a challenger srt8 too....I've always had black cars, and now that my wife has the vr camaro, I'm thinking about a different color than black....maybe I like detonator yellow or plum crazy myself, but think those are a bit much for me, maybe red or black again

black is by far the most popular color of the challenger....and looks the meanest.

TorRed is a classic color with alot of heritage behind it..and is a damn sexy shade of red too.

Agreed. The first one I saw on the streets was a black SRT with black tinted windows. The owner was a huge ***** though.
