Woody has had a death in the family so that is affecting his updates to the forums. I'm not sure if the car was raffled or not, he should update everyone when he comes back.

Sorry Guys. I have been dealing with the passing of my younger sister and her leaving behind two young sons, no will, no insurance etc.
We did not sell enought tickets, only 2200 sold, however... The winner was from right here on the forums! Todd C from Kevil, Kentucky!! The young lady in the purple drew the winning ticket and got a free pizza for her help! Todd won $10,006.50 And we awarded him the check last night! I will post pictures of the presentation when I have access to them, or maybe Todd can post up some of his own as well! Between the raffle and the car show we raised just over $13,000 for the Wood Hudson Cancer Research Lab! We have secured Donatos pizza as a sponsor for next year, they will be selling tickets in the area stores and advertising on their pizza boxes.. and we are shopping dealerships looking for one willing to donate a portion of the car to reduce the number of tickets we have to sell, but we're hoping to give away a Camaro convertible for 2011! My sincerest grattitude, and Thank You All for all of your support!

In fact, if you look back in this thread to post #57, you'll see when Todd bought his tickets!
Congrats again Todd! It was very difficult to estimate the number of tickets sold until they were all turned in. We sold about 600 online, I personally sold about 800 tickets. We just didn't have enough advertising or support from our club's general membership to hit that 4000 mark (I had 6000 tickets in circulation to membership etc.) I'm hoping with the addition of Donatos Pizza as a sponsor for 2011 we will be able to sell more than enough tickets. I'm open to suggestions from everyone, do we keep the tickets at $10 and limit the number still, do we drop them to $5 or less and have to sell a lot more? What does everyone think? Thanks for the feedback! About halfway down this page are some pictures from the show that our DJ took! http://www.kentuckycarshows.com/best2010July.html |
