I was hoping the worst thing woul be the paint with all the chiping off the front and gills. but life goes on.
I do feel for those that have the paint chipping problem. So far with 8,600 miles I don't seem to have that occuring.

only problem I have had at all with my car is the temperature door broke... Nothing power train wise at all...
I hope you have better luck in the future.

on a side note I had one of the early build Saturn Skys (Vin 251), and they had problems with the rear ends in those too.. they replaced mine at 8,000 miles and I never had another problem with it...

I had a flaw in my paint which I had the dealer repaint twice. Also had a bad pinging noise from the exhaust which they are replacing this Friday with a GM performance exhaust.

I've started a thread about paint issues to see if we can find something in common that caused the issues (I have them too);

I had the heater fan motor replaced. They installed a blower kit 92215203. They had to cut the old motor out of the case. Reason "Bearing in motor getting dry"

Replaced under warranty.

Drivers Seat

Drivers seat won't release to get in the back seat. Going to dealer in morning will let all know the out come other than that all is flawless at 8644 miles.

BROKEN: Several Mustang owner's egos. DID I FIX IT?: Yes, I am storing the 'maro for the winter and so now they don't have to follow me for a while.

The day after Consumer Reports named the Camaro a best buy, my sunroof stopped working. Waiting for a Sunroof Motor this week to get it fixed.

... issue with the rear spoiler... the now infamous paint chipping problem. Removed the spoiler, used touch up paint to repair the chips (with the exception of an almost pin-head sized mark, all of the damage was under the spoiler... not visible now after touch up), and used thicker washers and additional 3M tape to maintain spacing between the spoiler and the decklid. Used blue Loctite and torqued the nuts to between 40 and 45 lbs-in (less than stated in the TSB) to maintain spacing. No leaks, the mounting nuts have stayed tight and no more chipping.

You mean it has a back seat???? I just thought that area was for putting your jacket when driving...JK...

I am starting to notice tiny scratches in my side windows, anyone else have this? will GM replace the windows?
I have never used anything rough to clean them and definately no ice scraper has touched the windows.

Driver Seat

Yes there is a back seat I use mine for my 6 year old to enjoy the ride. Went to the dealer today and it just needed a little grease. All is well now.
