Finally saw a 2011 V6 mustang on base here this morning. That hood is ugly!

To achieve the same power/weight ratio as the Stang, the V6 Maro is gonna need 30+ hp at the crank.

It will take a Tune/FULL cat back/CAI to make 30+ hp.

Just cai, headers and gears will be enough. Or pull off 200-250lbs

fastest V6 Camaro is only 13.9, even with his Mods it's still not enough to keep up with the V6 Mustang.

Mustang is 13.9-14 as well. And mods on those v6 camaro is headers and cai only, if i remeber right. At least this numers are the real ones and noone seen stang numbers yet, only paper management war.

But I did extensive research on my car before I bought it and was well aware that the v6 Stang was 1/2 sec quicker than my v6 Maro.

And I still bought the Camaro anyways!

The Stangs styling is old (even with last year's refresh).

The Maro's styling is cranking!

Why does it matter when the 2010 and 2011 camaros are mechanically identical...?

I don't drive a 1/4 mile at a time (gearing and 1/4 mile time)
I don't do 60 in a 45 (the normal speed limit where I go) (0-60 time)
I didn't get any compliments from my 05 V6 Mustang (appearance)
I didn't get may compliments on my TrailBlazer SS (engine)

I do get stopped at least once per day coming to or from my car. Just so people can tell me how great it looks and what a 'nice' car it is. It's a great look (stands out a little cause it's green [Find a Mustang in that color])

I love the car. Period. It looks great and does the speed limit. The Mustang only does one of those.

Maybe, but the stats tell a different story.

The new Camaro has outsold the Stang by almost 20,000 vehicles. It also led the sports car sales race for 11 of the last 12 months:

Im pretty sure mustang will outsold us in a 2-3 months with new 5.0. People like new stuff, even if its not look hm... like we do. But new 5.0 and 3.7 is a good perfomance. So it will be hard to beat it this year. Will see.
