I felt we hard workers needed a little tribute because young people on this forum don't seem to garner much respect as truthfully most aren't paying for their car.

Sounds to me that at 20 years old you have your stuff together- that's impressive. By the time I was 22 I was married, had a house payment, and two new cars in the driveway that I was paying on (I'm only 29 now). Keep working hard man, it pays off in the long run. You already have your Camaro, and what I consider to be the good stuff is still coming for you.

Good for ALL you responsible younger people. Earning the $$$ makes it that much

more appreciated, AND you won't treat the inside like a "STORAGE UNIT"

That drives me NUTS.

I'm always curious to see what people define as "young"

I'm 26 now. Picked up the car June 12th of last year when I was 25. I pay for the car completely, didn't even have to co-sign with a parent. But putting in almost half of the purchase price as a down payment helps with that a lot

At the time, I had been graduated from college for a year and a half (graduated December 2007) and had been a salary employee at my current job for just over a year.

For all you youngsters getting ready to go to college, I'm telling you, Engineering is the way to go I know it sounds scary, but Petroleum Engineering and Bioengineering are the most lucrative fields right now that I can see. Sure, it requires tough studying, but it's absolutely worth it. These two fields definitely pay a lot better than a Business degree will ever get you

24, work for the army corps of engineers as a lock operator

not only paying for it, but modding the crap outta it. and no, i do not live with my parents.

as far as the remark as to "why does it matter if you live at home or not"

simple question is, you do not need a 20,000+ vehicle if you can not afford to live on your own. if you are over 18, cut ur parents some slack. move out on your own. if you can handle it, THEN get yourself a nice car. priorities.

I'm 22 years old and I pay for everything on my own. Own apartment, car payments, insurance, etc. General Manager for a Boar's Head distributor in south Florida. I love it when people say I should be ashamed that my parents bought me everything I own when in reality it isn't the case at all. Oh well people can be stupid it's human nature.

Listen to what he says...I work for a piling/geostructural steel company and my personal stock in the company would be way higher if I had done civil engineering as opposed to just a business degree.

28- base model LS

I've been paying for myself since i was 18 though, i also pay for my truck mortgage and my 2 little boys
couldve gotten the SS but for my daily driver i chose a base V6... plus i like to grill @ least 4times a week i'm not too sure how much money i spend on dead animals for that habit.
i also like having a few grand in my checking and even more in savings.

when the kids are out of the house I'll get what i really want, 4 now i'll rock the V6 camaro
