We have seen there is room, but not that the dash is formed and has the ability for the HUD to be mounted. This is good news.

Hey 2SSRS I have a question for you. Does your car have backup sensors? I am wondering if the early production models without sensors are different than the ones with sensors. I have sensors and am hoping the harness is in the back and ready for HUD.

2SSRS,

Hey how did you secure the HUD switch once you made the hole? Is it just wedged in there?

Yes there are 3 metal tab's on the switch that are spring's all you do is cut the dash, I left 1/8 of the flat part at first, Its not hard and if you pull out you head light switch and copy the cut on the outer side.

There are no bolts holding in place it pull's right out.

While at the GM Nationals I was standing next to the Camaro engineer when someone asked him if a 2010 could be fitted with HID, part of his reply was that you would need a HID windshield. Guess that's as straight from the horse’s mouth as it gets.

This is correct, the windshield is not a rumor, it comes on those equipped cars. but we will say again, it WILL WORK WITHOUT IT. It just doesn't work as well, it loses some definition and clarity, but it works. The Vette guys have proven this for 10 years.
