There's no way this car will sticker for $20k more than the SS. GM would be foolish to price it that way unless it came with an LS9. If it's an LSA, they will be killing the car. I'd never pay that for an LSA powered Camaro. The car needs to fall into the $45-50k range if they want to compete with the GT500, which, with an LSA they still won't be.

Hmmm, if this is it, the Z28 is indeed a nice looking car. The problem I have is this:

The speculation is that it's the Supercharged V8 out of the Cadillac with 556bhp. That is a nice motor.

However, last week, GM announced the new supercharger, GM backed for $7500 and reportedly good for 650+ bhp.

I have had my 2011 2SS for 3 weeks, and I know what I would rather do, and that is get that GM backed badboy on there for $7500, rather than lose out on the depreciation of my 2011 already, and then add yet more money to the price for a Z28, which guesstimations suggest will be mid to high $40's...

That's just me. I just kinda see GM backing themselves into an odd corner with this one. Please don't get me wrong, it is a very nice car, has all the heritage and history and I am not knocking that for one minute.

I just feel the 2SS with the GM supercharger gives you the best bang for the buck in this instance.

Agreed, definitely around $45k-50k.

LMAO. This is just like seeing all the 5th gen mule spy shots.

I agree though. No real confirmation of what's going to be under the hood until it hits the showroom (or at least has a press release). Its like when we saw the V6 mule that had a radiator hose marked LLT. Lots of speculation about how many horses it would have, but no real way to know for sure until the press release.

Is the LSA the only 6.2L supercharged engine produced today?

Isn't technically the LS9 a 6.2 also?
