i like it,with the top down, not much of a fan with the top up,...would have been alot better if there was a way to make it a hard top vert.,other than that it's not bad,

GM sweat the details please.

Tom
the C6 corvette never had the fin on the coupe. So of course there wouldn't be one on the convertible. I assume it would be alot of work for GM to put the corvette's hidden antenna setup on the camaro. but idk

Personally I feel a convertible does this car no justice. It takes away the true beauty of this car. Frankly, I think it makes the car look ugly.

It looks like it would make a decent "El Camino" style truck bed in the back if they got rid of the two back seats. The rear does look fat to me and without the top it really accentuates the fatness of it in comparison to the concept orange vert with black stripes we're all accustomed to seeing.

Looks like we still have a few years left of 5th gen mania with this and Z28 coming down the pipeline.

Didn't say it was "that bad". You can do anything you want for more $$$. But one of the great things about the Camaro is the price.

Shark fin doesn't bother me. Have it on my Sky and GM did that for I believe the G6 vert as well. So yes, could have gotten rid of it..........for more $$$$$.

Also, and I don't know the answer, can you package it in the Camaro mirror or do you need a new mirror? Can you use the same wiring harness or do you need a new one? Each of those answers has the potential to cost more.

And who says this is the "final answer"? This is an IV car not a production unit, and maybe the powers that be are listening. They could be reading this thread right now and scheming continuous improvements to give you guys exactly what you are hoping for.

No you buy the vert as soon as you can get one, Pedderise, ProCharge, install CTS-V brakes, Bridgestone RE-11 tires and Forgeline wheels so you have a faster version of the Z28. I call mine a Camaro SS-V.

For those that don't like the shark fin, what do you suggest? Give GM a location that would make you happy. But as the base car has a shark fin, the convertible will get one as well.

The Corvette convertible doesn't have one because the coupe doesn't have one. There really isn't a good place to put a shark fin on the Corvette Coupe. On the hatch? No room. On the roof bow? Not there either so the OSRVM was the choice..........an expensive choice btw.

Creating multiple solutions for the same part is harder for the assembly plant as well.
I'm not sure why it has to be a fin shaped antenna, unless that is the only shape antenna ON* can pick-up? Is it?

The antennae on my Sky isn't "fin" shaped. It's more of a tapered post. So it could be something different. Take a look at some high end cars. Lots of antennaes on them. Make these photos look spartan.
