took delivery today and i must say that anyone who took it easy on the break in has the utmost self control. took delivery with 7 miles on it and like a kid in a candy store i could not keep my foot out of it until around 30 miles. ended the day with 66 miles on her (spent 6 hours at the county fair). cant wait to get off work tomorrow to get in her again. i got a ss/rs a6 and must say that i dont think i got a "slow car". was able to spin em with tc off and also on. this car met all my expectations and i know everyone will be just as excited as i was today. good luck on the wait i know it was killer. also on a side note i was 6 weeks from chevy picking up the order til delivery. drive on fellow brothers and sisters.

ps ill get pics tomorrow and post them up in a diff spot

The break-in on 38531 will consist of taking dealers son to local Sunoco , topping off with 93 octane , back to dealership with all fluids warm , drain engine , transmission and rear axle fill back up with Amsoil . Put wife in passenger side strapped in tight , wave bye-bye . Get on Rt 12 south , once steering wheel is straight show the bottom of the gas pedal the carpet .

the hardest thing is keeping under 4-5k rpm for the first 500 miles

i already have 200 on it so only 300 more to go

I sat in Champaign, IL for about 18 hours, then I sat in the Salem, IL yard for 24 hours.

I am finally rolling again ...departed Mt Vernon, IL at 4:01 AM today.

ThunderSS had told me that my ETA in Arlington was Aug 31st...but now this morning the computer lady says Sept 1st at 6:00 am.

I talked with my salesman on Sat & I told him my ETA was Monday & he said then to expect the car on his lot Thursday or Friday. ?????? Seems odd, since the rail yard is like 30 minutes from his lot.

Oh well...... that'd be fine if it comes in Thursday... I'll just take that day & Friday off & have a 5 day weekend!! More time to get to know "Ruby".

Congrats to everyone that has gotten thier cars...or will get them this week. It's so exciting!!!

YIPEE. It is getting closer. It's on Norfork Southern and is in Indiana with a scheduled arrival in Wentzville, MO on Monday at 6:59 am! Then it's just a 2 hour ride on a truck so hopefully by tuesday I'll be cruizing in style!!!

Really wondering how accurate the timing is on the tracking. Antivnm has his ride now....by the way congrats.....yet tracking says it is still says its on rail this AM after overnight update.
