Sure seems like a setup like I have sure should pull harder on the top? Perhaps a X1 and trading out my ported TB for a 102 would help. Don't know how I feel about loosing torque though Keep thinking about going to the next step with a Procharger just worried about the strain it might put on my 90k mile L99.
Have to commend Chris for putting up his numbers, so many say they will and then nothing. Sure the direction his is headed it will be more than the typical beast! That LOD sure looks sweet

I just annihilated a new 5.0 Mustang, he pulled up next to me at the next light and said "what the hell is in that thing, I was in the powerband when we punched it and you smoked me"

You don’t say? Glad we cleared that up. This thing needs FI or cubes. A cam/heads is only half truth

SET UP IS KEY!!!!! Mine was back to back "actual baseline" as well. My baseline was with in a couple hours as I actually changed mine while strapped on the dyno. I have said all along I gained 46rwhp over a mid runner fast. I have just about all the tricks in my build to compliment this intake for maximum gain on a SBE LS3. I would love to see it at 12.5:1 compression.

Now you have to spin the engine to 7600 rpm to it essentially makes the same power as before. This is pointless and just causing unneeded stress on the engine. It under performed a factory manifold by a lot until 6500 rpm. Sorry guys, I am just not a fan of this manifold, it has its place but just not for me.

Thanks for doing such a great test and a true apples to apples comparison.
I tend to agree with this - it didn't pick up much, it just moved it. All that RPM would be totally worth it if it picked up 30-40 like was expected, but for 12whp it's not very exciting. Especially, as you said, for an M6 guy - we don't have enough gear available to us to take advantage of this thing. If you maxed out with a 4.10 and a 25.5" tire you can only pull 6700 at 125mph, 7000 at 130 - you are barely getting this thing into it's power band on the back half of the track. If you're not willing to run the goofy looking tires on the back then subtract another 750rpm off all those values and it gets really gross. And on the hit I fight to get the car to keep her nose up already no matter how much RPM I throw at her - I can only imagine that gets worse when there is less torque on tap.

I gotta imagine in a heavy stick car it would feel pretty lazy on the street as well. I'm sure more compression, aggressive heads, and even more camshaft help bring out the best in this - as a true high-rpm "race" manifold it's pretty awesome and it sure does sing on the top.

I can't wait to see a few more guys chime in with numbers and graphs as these get on more and more cars. The real tests, as usual, will be to see how they run at the track. I remain open to seeing if the ends justify the means - I'm not sure I see it yet. Phil's looked like such a big gain, I'm hoping to see some other combos replicate that, and I'm surprised Chris's didn't.

thats where im at

11.5:1 (except mine is on 91 with some timing pulled because of the fuel)

when i do the X1 install, it'll b going in with a new NW TB (that i ordered last night), 850cc injectors, ZL1 pump, flex fuel sensor, and E85 tuning.

i thought about installing the X1 and NWTB this week but i dont see the point in paying $450-500ish to retune now, then pay $450-500ish again in a couple of months for the ff sensor, pump and injectors

Don't forget guys, on my setup I gained 30 more at the wheels, went from 430 to 460 and the run was terminated at 6800 and the HP line was going straight up! Still not sure why they did that. Also my TQ number stayed the same from before the LOD install, with stock heads. This also was on a Mustang dyno. TSP stage 3 cam @112 LSA.
