Tues was dynamic bench...after that I've decided we need to start doing dumbbells, to the heavier side, with me watching Monique to make sure she doesn't cut them short. In the bench she has the most problem at the bottom. So I tackled the 160's for the first time....man there is a HUGE difference between 140's and 160's (our gym doesn't have 150's). Did a quick set of 10 with the 105's, managed 8 with the 140's, and managed 1 puny rep with the 160's.

Yesterday was an extra workout for the entire body. So having Monique do plain ole pushups. But as the weeks pass going to put different thickness of plates under her hands and feet so she can go down further...again to help the bottom of the bench. She did 20 with 20lbs on her back, 15 with 10lbs, and 20 with her BW. So I did them with her...god I haven't done pushups in forever. Just did a set of 10 then told Monique to get on my back....did 10. One of the "crews" there benching made the comment "oh she's a lightweight why don't you put him on your back" (pointing toward his workout buddy who weighs a fat 240lbs). I told him "IDGAF but I'll start with you first". He is a lean 200lbs....he was sitting in my middle back....managed 7 reps...told his friend to go ahead and come over....now he sat on my UPPER back...man what a difference. I managed 1 measly rep and it was a grind.....

You won't be dissapointed. That program made me get into bodybuilding in the first place.

so I was reading Arnold Schwarzenegger's quotes on his steroid use and its nice to know that he would take them a couple of months before a big competition but would not take them constantly. in his prime I have to say he was and is the best looking body builder. just something about the way everything looked. yeah he was big! but everything was proportional. I like the classic look of that era of body building.

uh, he lied. Also, if you liked the classic look of 'that' era of bodybuilding, you liked guys on steroids. I know from a post early you did not like "those" guys looking like that. So a little confused about your comments. The PRO bodybuilders today just do it better, and have better genes. Not looking to start anything, just confused on your comments because they contradict each other.

If I'm not mistaking she goes by the way bodybuilders look back in the days "more natural" than the way they look now...
