I run Scorpion's on 18 inch wheels. I bought the whole lot from TireRack. Ran them last winter and it was fine, although I'll admit to you that I did not take the car out when the snow was bad. But, the p-zeros that came on the car would not be appropriate in the winter just because the compound is wrong for cold roads ever without snow on them!

Blizzacks with 17 inch rims. I have yet to put them on, they are sitting in my dining room at the moment!

Blizzaks are a great tire. I had them on my 96 Z28 and between them and 100# of sand in the trunk, the car drove like a tank. Seriously.

Car & Driver has included the upcoming Camaro Convertible
in its list of 25 cars worth waiting for!
That’s great news now that I have waited all this time and have known all the Upstate C5ers just teasing me with new cars I can only hope to have Vert that is just as much fun to drive as to show at the shows.

I think the 2000 goes into storage this weekend and hopfully next spring when I get it out it will have a new little sister :thumbup

LOL

Speaking of putting up for the winter I just broke out the old Honda. Wow is all I really have to say about it, lol. It feels like I am driving around in a fishbowl compared to the Camaro. There are big windows everywhere! After I got out a hammer to free up the rear brakes the rest of the trip went well. I will always be a standard guy but there is something relaxing to putting it in D and stepping on the gas. Now all I've got to do is stop trying to find a clutch everytime I start it, .

In regards to putting it away I'll have to go and price out some plywood to cover the floor of the storage unit she is going into I don't want her sitting over concrete all winter. A buddy of mine says that he puts down a layer of cardboard followed by a layer of plastic and then an additional layer of cardboard. This way the bottom layer of cardboard soaks up any moisture, the plastic prevents any from passing through, and the top layer protects the plastic from the wheels as well as adding an extra absorption layer.

And one final note the remote clutch bleeder line that I ordered came in today, if I get time tomorrow I'll take some pics of it and some of the install as well. It's a very nice piece and came with instructions as well, not bad for $65 if you ask me. I'm sure you could make it cheaper but I don't have the skills or knowhow to make something like that.

He needs to change his name to "almost Hardware Man" You know how you asked him if the plug took......yeah, it's fine Les drive it.....I test drove it....it's fine.......well....um, not quite- I drove it today and it went from 32 psi to 1 psi with 5 minutes on the highway......"Hardware Man" had to come deal with it and I got to drive his "Scary Jeep rat" to work. It is a beauty both inside and out see pic below But, unlike my 40K Camaro it got me to work today....

Here is the Winter beast :

Yes, an INDOOR event as a wrap up......not an all day show when it is 47 degrees with the wind chill -32 degrees..... these fall events are getting COLD.... next event Julie says "bring your snuggie" or maybe I might need to sport this:
The "Snazzy Napper" The ultimate late fall car show gear......this was found on the Camaro5 apparel wishlist page
