Didn't like sitting on the side of the highway the last time during rush hour. Definitely don't want to do that again.
That sucks. Going to leave the stocker on until you find a different replacement, or are you putting the Injen back on?

Not sure why water is getting in the tube, so I doubt the Injen will be going back on. The elastic has stretched on the hydrashield that fits over the filter so maybe water is getting past that. But the tube is also deformed a little where the filter is clamped on to it, so maybe it isn't sealing completely.

I will probably leave the stocker on for awhile. Have to keep an eye on spending since we will be doing several trips through March for some basketball tourneys and a couple trips for volleyball tourneys.

Went to Jeggs on Monday to get a Kirkey racing seat with cover and a Simpson harness.

The car is going to the welding shop tomorrow to have the parachute bracket fabricated.

The welder says he can make a bracket that will let me quickly swap the race seat for the stock driver seat. I'll post some pictures when I can.

Where does our two track days there put us on their scale as far as slow lead laps, vs. fast lead laps, vs. full lapping ? I assume we'd need to take their lapping course before they allow that. And to take their Lapping Course says you need to have already gone through the "Advance" course. ?

Well, I would hope (I will check tomorrow, at least call them, not sure if anyone is there) we would be in the middle (fast lead laps).

I doubt they will allow us to be in the Full lapping. That is why I LOVED being up at Gingerman last year. It was full lapping, as fast as you wanted to go, but it was completely safe.
If you haven't seen them ( this was Gingerman):

That looks like so much fun. Talking with others who done this program at mid ohio, what they let you do depends on the size and expirence of your group.

Probably a good call. I've never had problems with my Rotofab. You could always look into that one.

Ps: I received the wrong throttle body, so now I'm still waiting for Apex to swap it out for me. :( I was so excited to put it on last weekend. Oh well, soon enough!!

I'm just gonna run the stocker for now. If I get another one, I'm going with Vararam I think.

Yeah, Pat told me. I double checked the link I sent to him and it takes me directly to the V6 LLT TB. I would have guessed Apex would overnight the correct one. Guess they didn't?

Good videos. Who put that day together? I was on a list a year or two ago to go up there but they cancelled it. Didn't see one advertised last year. Impressive going past an Elise so easy. Are they slowing down on purpose (rules?) or just scared of the damp track? Bet that full day of soaked runs at Mid Ohio helped ease the worry of a little dampness.

Thanks, Ya it was real fun!

The best video was captured only by the wife when I passed the yellow lambo

I got invited up by TeamTPR. I helped with their T2 car last year and as an appreciation for helping them out, they invited me up for a weekend of racing

As far as passing, yes, there is a flag that is put out for "move over, faster traffic behind you".

I think a lot of us that went to the two track days I organized at mid-ohio would LOVE it up there at Gingerman. Last year it was ONLY $150 for saturday and $250 for the whole weekend!

Sunday, my camera was having issues and that was the best laps I think I was doing.
