9/28 TPW Check in station!!!

Finally after over a year of waiting I can finally see the light. Ordered my bumble bee on 10/4/08 at a local car show. Also purchased the Corvette ZR1 to go along with my other 2 chevy cars (2005 Corvette and 2007 Tahoe). My friend ordered the 1SS at the same time but Black on Black. On May 8, 2009 his was delivered. I took the ride with him to pick up the car and check on the status of mine. When I asked the dealer to check on my status he said he showed no order in my name. They did however cash my $2,500 deposit check. I flipped out! I could not believe that some idiot did not order my car. I had never had any dealings with this dealer before, but they were the only chevy dealer at the autoshow. At that point (10/8) I was oblivious of the great demand this car would have. Fell in love with the car from the movie and wated it. After back and forth of the dealer telling me oh well to bad, but if I was willing to shell out $15,000 I could probaly get my car in 60 days. I swore never to buy another Chevy after that. After riding in my friends car numerous times watching the movie for the 40th time I had to give in and visit another dealer. On July 11, 2009 I once again took the plunge and placed another order.

I came across this site a week after I placed my 7/11 order and it's been a blessing. My car was built 10/5/09 and as of this morning (9:59), it is on the train in Battle Creek, Michigan. My dealer called today and said it is scheduled for delivery this Wednesday. It's been over a year but there is the light at the end of the tunnel. For those who are still on hold waiting to be shipped, hold on the feeling is great to see and hear that it's almost over.

Hey Nessa, yeah, I am on a train, and we left outta London, Ontario at 1040 on 10/9. I think our new baby will be here next week! We did not get striped though, cause we could not agree on a color, and will have to wait till the hubby gets back from Iraq in 2011 before we do get them done.

On the way home I noticed the odometer read 41 miles....this was 2 miles from the dealership. Any other car I would have shrugged it off, but this car is different; its going to be stored in the winter, no rain, summer fun driving only car. I was not happy to know that some "slappy" was joy riding my car. I called the dealer and of course he acted surprised.

But, the bottom line is; what recourse did I have....ask for my money back and reorder?

The thought of someone driving it was very unsettling...like someone with your wife. Well maybe that's an overstatement, but you know what I mean.

maybe i'll get lucky and be on the same train! Camarotracking hadn't updated last time i checked. I didn't get striping so i hope I am on the way!

warcopwife - sounds like they didn't shut the trains down for today with the holiday. Mine was loaded on a train, hoping I get an update in the morning that it has moved. Can't wait to get it.

how do you know you got loaded on the train? I didn't see an update today from the camarotracking website. I also heard that csx was the only place shutting down for the holiday- all the other ship yards and rails are open......

anything on the camarotracking page should of only been current showing activity for 10/7. 10/8's activity should have been posted today, but they didnt update it.

I think it got updated today. I was showing available to ship yesterday and then moved to in transit today with a rail car ID.

I don't believe so... It updated late yesterday evening after the days activity... But I could be wrong

Well, I have no idea where my car is. Says " Delivered-truck since Wednesday, well I went buy again today, and STILL not at the dealer....whiskey,tango,foxtrot!!!!
