what the heck??? that is unbelievably ugly. why couldn't they have at least done some sort of giant "shaker" type hood so at least it'd look somewhat retro like the 2000's Mach 1 Mustang

When it comes to race cars looks have nothing to do with it. If that thing is fast then I guess Ford will get the last laugh. I highly doubt that they would put that on there just because they where going for a certain look.

Exactly right, the hood is functional. If the car had been designed for attempting land speed records, I doubt it would have a hood like that. Surely all of you track warriors in here know heat is an engine's worst enemy at the track. It does look hideous though...

I heard that it has a "front view" camera instead of a back up camera.
