Mr. Mole, with the announcement of overtime, extended shifts, shortened shutdowns for line changes, etc.; has any official word been made on when the plant will changeover to Summit White on both the Camaro and Impala lines?

Thanks for the info and thanks to everyone on the line that puts their heart and soul into doing a quality job each and every day~!

I can't get a straight answer from anyone on that. Go figure.

Hey Mole, any news on the cars still sitting in the lot in Oshawa?

My Vin is 2835 and i think has been sitting since April 10th - do you have any words of clarity on what could be happening with the early ones sitting. Are they still waiting for the minor corrections. My dealer says its still on hold and thats all he knows.

As always any comment would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Thanks to everyone for all of the great information.

P.S. My dealer got a Silver 2LT and doesn't know who's it is... Very low VIN #502

Mole,

When the cars get to you for inspection, do they have the stripes (specifically the rally stripes) on them? If so, about what percentage have stripes?

It's a great pleasure to read your posts. Thanks for taking the time to give us some insight.

Mr Mole - I'll bite. What gives with cars sitting in Whitby, Ontario? Actually sitting in the lot of the striping vendor - for weeks on end, while other cars (Camaros!) come in, get striped and leave... all the while, leaving some sitting and waiting... for instance, mine which has been in this state of idle readiness since 4/23!?

No the cars go for stripping once the leave the plant - to an outside vendor - all the inspection has been completed on non-stripped vehicles- once they are stripped they are shipped (unless they have a campaign for a build issue - at that point they are held until they are fixed)

rsblackss,

Thanks for the info. So, these cars don't have clearcoat? You can feel the edge of the stripe?

Yes you can feel the edge - but they look great - hopefully durable - did not order stripes - wasn't sure how long they would hold up - want to hold on to the car for long time - did not want to take a chance of stripes peeling off.

Stripes are not put on in factory - car is built and then shipped to outside for stripes and then shipped (if not issues are outstanding)
