You agreed with forum racing being pointless and was looking forward to your results at the track post cam swap. Maybe I missed them somewhere... If not then I suppose we will never know. Nothing more to it.

Roush Mustang Bites the Dust at Road America

Oh, no....did I read somewhere that the Camaro SS from Stevenson Motorsports beat the Rousch 302R GT at Road America this weekend. Oh, man, the Mustang guys are going to mess there pants when they hear that!!! The 302R GT has been their knight in shining armor and now the Camaro is beating them on road courses as well as the drag strip....YIKES!!

You took the time to find out the engine blew, a little more digging would have resulted in you finding my 12.1 @ 116 in my build thread, in the official fast list as well as the unofficial fast list.

You showed your true colors with this move.

I have said nothing derogatory towards you of the issue you had and have not posted a single comment in your thread. I happened to see your thread on the failure at the top of the list in the general discussion sub forum a couple of nights ago.

What colors am I showing? You and Dragoneye seemed to be the one's bent.

Ban me for doing nothing wrong....I could care less.

I will go look for your timeslip in the official and unofficial fast list along with your mods listed.

Reviewed TS here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=52264&page=4

R/T..........1.329
60'.............1.868
330'...........5.173
660'...........7.884
660’ mph...91.06
1000'..........10.201
1320'..........12.138
1320’ mph…116.86

Decent 60' and a respectable time. Not sure if you had the tires when you were running 13's. Don't recall. If not, you picked up almost 1 second with the cam, tires and a tune. That is pretty good. Weather was nice. We will not see that good of air until Oct, Nov or possibly Dec here.

BTW - I would list a tune in your mods.

Just because people don't post doesn't mean your douchebaggery goes unnoticed.

Nice to know you think it's cool when someone's engine blows. You are a classy fella!

I posted this in another thread, but I'll do it hear as well.

What makes Camaro5 such a desirable site is the tone the moderators set. They let people go to about a 7. When it escalates to an 8 they put the brakes on. This site welcomes owners of vehicles other than a Camaro and the discussions make the site interesting. We all have to assimilate ourselves to the culture of Camaro5 and keep it at a 7 or less. Camaro5 -- Mutual respect with a bit of attitude.

BTW, Dragoneye is one of the coolest people I have come to know on Camaro5. Nobody messes with Texas or Dragoneye while I am around

Do yourself a favor and put me on your ignore list. I don't have to justify my posts to anyone including you. Don't like me, don't follow me, don't participate. Easy resolution.

...onto the thread topic, Sax1031 I have also heard the same with the motor being the 6.2 with a blower. Imagine they will make the block from aluminum with plasma arc liners, all forged and capable of handling north of 800HP on the stock internals. A beast of a car to say the least.

If you don't need to justify, why did you reply in the first place? Taking your own advice would do wonders!

Apparently it's going to be turbo also.

"To “one up” General Motors’ releasing of the 556 horsepower Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Ford’s SVT will give the 2013 Shelby GT500 a heart transplant. Unlike the current supercharged 5.4-liter, the new engine will be turbocharged. Though FIN cannot bring you the engine's new displacement, a 5.0 and 5.8 have been rumored. We can tell you that the engine will deliver a Camaro-killing 650 horsepower according to our sources. This upgrade will make the 2013 GT500 the most powerful, factory made Mustang ever."

If this is fact not fiction, we're in for a ride in the chevy vs ford hp war. Hopefully they adequately upgrade the suspension.

I'm not going to talk about ability because we simply don't know yet...but it seems that because of the longevity/simplicity/development cycle of the current Mustang, more money gets to be allocated to the engine in comparison to the other components of the GT500.

The Camaro is relying on an advanced suspension, differential (and associated traction software), and brakes and so it gets a carry over engine from the CTS-V. Whereas, the GT500 is relying on it's lifespan (for gradual suspension tweaks) and a more expensive engine to achieve the desired affect.

Just another case of different strokes for different folks it seems. We'll have to wait and see more details, but I'm damn sure excited to see how the two cars match up. I would like to tell myself I'm going to save my money, but I have a feeling whichever one is executed better will be in my garage come mid-2012.

I have a few friends at Ford, can't mention any names but they say it's a 5.0 ecoboost with around 620 horse.
