Way to go Will! Thanks to everybody that came out last night. Good time! I think that we should plan a trip to Firebird Raceway in Chandler on a Friday night and try the drags there. We would need to do it fairly soon before it starts getting to hot. Thoughts?

Well, Firebird has races on both Friday & Saturday nights. I think the best for us would be a Saturday night. How about on May 1st? We could meet up at 3:30 PM and drive up. Gates open at 5 PM. Let me know your thoughts.

That should work for me. I don't think I'll be in test mode for work. I'll just need to take off a few hours so I can prep my car and then drive to Tucson.

Sean,

Good to hear from you. I just installed a Cold Air Inductions CAI.

I have to go to Honolulu tomorrow for a week on business, darn
I'm hoping the traveling will slow down a bit. Would like to get together locally for breakfast or lunch maybe last weekend of April if anyone is interested.

All I can say is "WOW" with the mods I have now, this car's a beast. Would like to dyno it to make sure it's not all in my head.............

Hi Gary. Good to hear from you. Trust me, it's not all in your head. Vector really knows what they are doing. Azburk & I proved it on the drag strip.

I think I have made my decision on the CAI I want to get. I think I am going with the one from Cold Air Inductions. I know a couple of you have it, what do you think about it? Good buy?

Good times at SIR Friday!

We may join you guys for the Firebird trip. Sounds like fun!!

I was wondering do you put your car in competition mode for your runs?

Hi. I like mine a lot. In fact, I took off my $500.00 Hennessey CAI to put it on. I think it's that good.

On the 4 previous outings to the drags, I have always left all of the "nannies" on and just put the trans in "S" mode. This last time, I turned all of the "nannies" off so I could do a burnout to heat the drag radials. Car seems to run the same either way.

I Tried the competition mode a few times before Friday, and it's not all that it's cracked up to be.

The first time I used it I went by what the manual says to do, and it resulted in some serious wheel hop on the starting line. I have been driving with the traction control off ever since. I still leave the Stabilatrac on just to keep my car from moving left to right.

It's been a learning experience, but I have had a lot of fun watching my times improve over the last 3 times out.
