Good move on that Mustang......I have a feeling the 2011 GT is gonna be the undisputed king of muscle.....unless Dodge comes out with the 6.4 500HP Hemi
LOL, she thinks she does...I tried to convince her the 304 hp V6 would be fine, but she just looked at me and said "I want the V8!"

I agree with you, Dave, Ford is upping the ante with the 400hp 5.0 coyote...it is gonna be real tough to beat. Looks like Dodge has a trick up their sleeve with the rumored 6.4.....

After much research, I just ordered a Kona Blue Mustang GT Premium. I have driven both the Mustang and the Camaro. They are both great cars. But in the end I liked the visibilty and the interior of the Mustang better.
Camaro5 has been a great help to me. Keep up the good work, and buy American.

huh? If a 500hp challenger ever makes it to market it will be just as expensive as a gt500, but not as fast. What about that makes it the ultimate anything?

I sold my Mustang...mixed feelings.

I'm moving to Vancouver BC in the spring and have to downsize. My GT got sold the other day and the house gets listed at the end of August. My GT was a sweet car (superchaged 500+HP) and I'm going to miss it", I bought it brand new in June 2006 and modded it over the last 3 yrs. But I'll buy a new toy next spring. Looking at the possiblity of a C6 Vette(2008- LS3) or a 2008 Mustang GT convertible!! So it's all good. At least I got to have some fun against an automatic 2010 Camaro SS before I sold it.

c6 is a nice vehicle for sure...not my cup of tea though because I had a few issues fitting well into it when I was trying one out at the car show a while back. But still a really nice car.

What kind os S/C did your Stang have ?

Where in Vancouver are you moving? Are you actually moving to Vancouver or just the lower mainland area?

now that i know the 5.0 is returning i may have to re evaluate my purchase of a camaro... Mustang already handles better, now its likely to drag faster as well, AND cost $4k less for the v8 compared to a base GT and an SS1

Any comments?

Can't go wrong with either car.... just pick which ever one you prefer... pretty simple...

I loved my 2005 Mustang... If Ford hadn't made the 2010 so ugly in the back, i might have been tempted to wait for the 2011s... as it is I prefer the looks of the new Camaro...

With the Addition of a new (and presumably more expensive) engine, nicer tranny, and standard track pack you will see the price difference diminish.

Not much to be said in regards to the Camaro being superior to the Mustang... It isnt.

The two cars are (going to be) very very very close. Now I refuse to believe a 400hp mustang is going to be faster than the GT500, which is only 4.5 0-60 so dont think the GT is going to dust the SS... But it will have a power/weight adv.

The Camaro (imo) is a better looking car, and a car built more towards an emotional response than just rather a 2nd generation of the same. The GT will likely have good aftermarket, and keep a good following. If Ford does it the right way, this new GT could be one for the recordbooks. That being said the Camaro is going to still hold a great deal of attention just from its looks and the exclusive nature of owning one.

In the end they are both great options, and with both offering killer engines you wont find either to be a slouch. Pick your favorite and run with it.

Right downtown False Creek/Yaletown area. We'll be heading out right after the winter Olympics. I'm sure I'll find my way out to Mission to check out some drag racing. I know a few guys that have run there...only a few feet above sea level, nice fast times!!!

Yeah Whipple rocks!! Great customer service, I even had "The" Art Whipple handle my case file when I was getting a few minor problems sorted out.
