Does your top have rub marks from being down?

I brought my car to my dealer for the 5th bow replacement. Previously I had mentioned the rub problems and the service advisor said that if it came down to it and the top needed replacing, they would send it out to an upolstry shop. Well I stopped by to see how they were making out and I saw the top off and a tech on the ground struggling to put a new top on the bows. Asked if I could take pictures and was told no. Asked for and spoke to service manager and he was concerned why I wanted to take pics. I advised him I wanted to post them here and he agreed but only if he could take the pictures. Said he didn't want to aggravate the 2 techs working on it any more than they already were. I guess he was concerned that I didn't want the pics to make them look bad. My question is...if GM is supposed to come out with the final fix in January, why would they approve of a top replacement?? I told him that I would give them a chance at it, like I had any other choice, but didn't expect good things to come of it and why. When I suggested I was sure the tech's had never done work on a convertible tops he replied thats true but they passed the test. That gave me the warm fuzzies I gotta tell ya.

I have service information coming out shortly to address the rub marks on your top. What is your VIN and what dealer are you working with and is there one particular person at the dealer that you have been working with.

The saga continues, GM rep called yesterday afternoon to approve my loaner till the end of January when the NEW fix for the water management is available. Since last week when the GM engineer adjusted my top there are no wrinkles in the top over the doors and the wind noise is significantly less than it was before. I still don't think its as good as the original.
Got to admit they are trying to get this fix, but everything is so hush hush which still doesn't inspire confidence in me about the fix.They took abut 2-3 dozen photos but they wouldn't share them or discuss what they were really concerned with.

Going to wait until GM has a good fix before i bring it in. Mine is not that bad right now and doe snot leak.

I manually move the top around before it goes down so it does not get any problems.

I just picked up an IBM 2LT RS vert yesterday. I traded the 2010 Aqua coupe with 2000+ miles.

I put the top down once...no rub marks, but the top is a little stretched and rippled over the driver's window. Hey, it's starting to rain!

I guess the nightmare is about to begin.
