It seems like auto companies don't really have logical reasoning for why they won't bring certain models to the US. Jalopnik posted about how GM is selling a Trailblazer based on the Colorado in Mid Asia and Russia but won't bring it here. Maybe because it would compete with the Equinox?

One other thing to think about is currency conversions. I remember the VW Sirocco could have come to the USA as it was based on the Golf, but the euro being much stronger than the dollar shut that down.

I'm considering going to UND, but i'm kind of scared I would have to get a new car. 4ft of annual snowfall and 50 days with a low below 0š doesn't sound fun in an SS.

28 degrees and 10 foot visibility fog going into work this morning, great times to be had in Southern Oregon. At least it's Friday, and payday!

It's 29° here. MS is supposed to be warmer than Oregon...

It's been unusually warm this winter. Supposedly El Nino has been the cause. We've had more rain this year than any winter since..maybe 2007? We've had a string of dry, cold winters for the last few years with the worst being 2013 where we had a few nights where it was around -10 below in the hills and -5 to 0 in the cities..but that was a freak situation.
Mostly we average in the lows around 20 in the winter and daytime highs in the low 40's from December to March.

Working the numbers and trying to figure out if I want to go for a 416 stroker on a SS is driving me nuts...it almost seems like it's not worth it because then you'll need to upgrade the rear end and transmission..
I'm kind of thinking it's just cheaper to do H/C/I and call it done.
