Thanks! Yeah you have my number so whenever you are in town just give me a call.

Funny you should mention miles. I just ticked over 39,000 this past weekend.

Also, thanks to you too Scott.

Hello All, Jason- congrats on the new gig ! Tim- Will keep Duffys on Apr 12 on the schedule. April 1st autocross at Adventureland with Des Moines region.Come out and try it guys and gals. Our cars are a handful and lots of fun on these auto-x courses. GoodGuys has cancelled Joliet. They had a very small course but still a blast. I was gonna run the Sonic there and the Camaro for all other events. I still may run the Sonic at some SCCA events, or at least one event. See all soon. Chris.

NitroBeagle,

The Adventureland Auto-X?? .... Can anybody run anything? Is there classes for type of cars? Reason for asking, last year I ran my 67 Camaro in 5 of Goodguys events. It's a blast, and would like to do more. However, this year, planning to return to some of the bigger Camaro event's instead of the GG shows. I've sent in my info to the Camaro Superfest and Camaro Fall Classic.

Auto-X'ing is very fun and addicting!

Good luck with that, Tim...although for a new 2 year contract they will give you a new phone...even the Iphone 4S!

Catch can installed last night. Easier than falling out of bed on the supercharged intake...pulled the line off of the input from the inlet and plugged that into the catch can and then ran a provided line back up to the supercharger inlet from the can. Put two coats of wax on the can prior to install. (Daughter did the second coat...so proud - 'sniff-sniff...tear!')

The AAC Sidemarkers were easy on the front...pain on the back. Gave up on the two rears as I had to get the kids back home. My 65 year old father looked at the sidemarkers in the front fenders and asked me how it was legal...turned them on and he just chuckled like a schoolgirl..."NOW THAT IS SICK!"

Tim S....... the autocross at Adventureland is an SCCA event. They have events all over. We ran at Hawkete Downs and Iowa Speedway last year. More info on web . Search SCCA Iowa Region. They have a classes for all cars. My stock Gen 5 is ' G Stock ' at SCCA events.

NitroBeagle...

Thanks, will check out SCCA website.

Toesuf94...

What type of supercharger do you have? These catch can threads are long and even have had some passion, same as brand of headers chosen. My Camaro has Mag-2300. In reading many a catch can thread, my thoughts was why don't I have one when I did my mods?

I emailed Livernois on this last month, and here is Andy's reply.

"being a supercharger has rotors with very tight tolerences, they sometimes can contact each other underload/heat. Because of this, we leave the PCV system intact, as the oil vapor is supposed to be in there to lightly coat the rotors, and prevent galling. It also will get on the back side of the valves, and help lunricate the bottom side of the valve guide. In short, while you can make more power with a catch can, it hurts durability."

He did offer if I wanted one, they send me one. But since I have plenty of horsepower, just staying the course without, going with the durability side, (since they offered warranty with their installs).

xtreme - I have the Edelbrock E-force and I am not putting out anywhere near the numbers you are. I do know that on other builds THR has installed catch cans on the cars - I did not realize what they were or why they existed, so I never asked. With the power of the internet, I have learned a lot.

The problem with the oil getting onto the rotors is that it will eventually get into your intercooler, causing a loss of efficiency and eventual failure of your intercooler IF you have the style with the integrated coolers. http://www.haneymotorsport.com/HMS%2...atch%20Can.htm

THR told me to go with Elite or Rx. JDP had a special on color matched Rx cans, so I went with the RX. Installed it last night and I am very happy with how it looks under the hood.

Nope. According to JDP I did not need a three valve with my application. As there was only 1 PCV line on the charger from valve cover to inlet, I assume that is why I only needed a two port. I shall drop SC1250 a pm in a too late fashion.

UPDATE: FROM SC2150: You have the right model. The dual outlet is for turbo or front mount SC where the intake manifold is retained and is pressurized under boost. A top mount SC like the eforce, maggie, whipple, etc. all replace the factory style intake manifold.

I was sleeping and I heard the door bell rang at about 1330. I got up and went to the door and there was my package waiting for me. The wife was gone. I grabbed the package and headed straight for the garage to put the parts on before she saw me. Took almost 4 weeks to get it and they kind of screwed up on the order, but its not that big of a deal. It looks good and I am still happy. I ordered it through RPI Designs.

To those with catch cans installed from last year, how often are you checking these? Does the catch can mfg suggest on time or mileage? How much oil is being removed?

Still seems like a good insurance accessory, as well as a performance gain.
