I used this post #. Could you please add your time slip to post #1230.

Thanks
Will do, thanks. Laptop access tonight.

Aren't you glad I didn't post my 11.06 with a 0.94 sixty?

Burnout smoke tripped the sixty beam. Simplest explanation of the other case of the 12.5 stock L99.

Left slip, I'm #616, is my new personal best. Rather than lift to win the bracket, I kept on it for the new best.

Note the right slip: a perfect example of how and why timing errors occur at a track. I did a burnout, wind behind me blew the smoke across the sixty-foot sensor .945 seconds after I launched. Viola: I cut a "0.945" sixty and run 11.076. Sweet!

I also ran at Capitol Raceway in Crofton MD, and ran 11.97 @ 116.99.

And if you notice, your timeslip was missing the 1000' time, just like the disputed stock L99 slip. Very interesting.

I never knew that the lights were linked in any fashion. But that does give a good explanation for the issue.

11.261 @ 123.86 on street tires

Sorry I posted this in the wrong section first. Best pass yet yesterday, Had to baby it out the hole or it would just spin tires all the way down the track. I'm gonna get some new tires and wheels next.

Darlington does not have 1000' lights/sensors. I've been there many of times and they never show the 1000' ET.

The light bulb went off in my head when the track announcer had one car in the quick-8 run again - he too had a disputed timeslip, attributed to smoke tripping the sixty foot beam. I knew mine was wrong, but didn't know for sure why or how till the announcer pointed out that it does happen in those circumstances.

Ah, my bad. I didn't notice the 'good slip' was also missing the 1000' time. But Padre's explanation still gives some indication what might have happened w/ the disputed stock L99 slip.

I'll shut up now and let this go back on topic.

What I don't understand is why the DA calculator made the pass faster with a negative DA.
With a Negative DA, you would expect a corrected time should be slower.

I thought the same thing, but when I checked it there was some correction there. Maybe because of the humity was 30%
