I have a practice tree and wondering what a good time to set my roll out would be for a stock SS. I saw the one for heads and cam so would a stock be about .55-.65??

Going drag racing this Friday with a buddy at a local 1/8 mile strip for the first time
Just hoping I don't break anything on my car, all of my fluids are good, my rear tires are pretty worn but I'm gonna go easy the first couple of passes to see how they'll run. Even in the state they're in my ExtremeContacts still hook pretty hard on street surfaces. Also I don't have a helmet but I called the track and they said I'd be good to run without one. |

Like others have said, excellent thread! I read this thread last year before I raced my car for the first time, It gave me everything I needed to know. It was also the first time I had drag raced ever, without the information in this thread, I'm sure I would have made an a$$ out of myself, or gotten thrown off the track. Its also a great refresher read for me, since It's been a year since I've been racing, I plan to be at the track next month.
Just wanted to say thanks for starting this, and it's greatly appreciated.

Glad it was helpful. Looks like I need to fix some of the picture links.

Good run! I have only a .02 to get in the 12s the few runs i get to but super good advice i agree! clutch pedal stuck down last time not sure if I can race before the Sturgis cruise but auto x down there will be fun( pedal is normal for most stunt driving still)
