kquinn45, what other mods do you have? I've none, but would love to put a Z/28 intake on it - CARB says otherwise though.

whoa, that is really subtle. it sounds identical to my car with just NPP+long tubes. I am a fan of a nice sounding road race cam with a subtle lope, but that one is a just a little too subtle for me.

I guess it depends on what you want from your car. It sounds very healthy, and without that lopey idle we know from those aggressive cams, I bet it has excellent driveability, too! In my book, that's excellent.

i totally agree, x25! i just want a tiny bit more chop. i hate those huge, aggressive cams that sound like a box of tools were dumped into a spinning washing machine.

Yeah, it is subtle but that's what I wanted. Keep in mind I have a completely stock npp exhaust.

Sounds great. Nice tone through the factory exhaust.

X25, I'll bet my money you would LOVE the drivability, sound, etc, of my, 216/224 116+3; Intake .601in. Exhaust: .582 . Ditto Pushrod! I have four vids of this at idle. -Cold start: NPP FULL stealth mode via 3 way switch, NPP full opened. - idle after HOT RUN: NPP FULL stealth mode, and NPP full open. You would love the second to last one, almost smoother than stock, but that is the tuning too I might post these up in a separate thread, don't want to hijack, but having video privacy setting concerns due to what I deem to be shady tactics. Note* The GM cam has much lower valve lift specs than mine, but I figured, if the supporting hardware exists(tried and tested HD valve springs for minimal cost), why not make use of them and use more lift?? |

Full respect on your setup, but you may want to go for a 3-way switch, and try the full open setting. Would sound GREAT at partial throttle I'm willing to bet on yours

You guys are thinking like I am, I like the drivability of a mild cam but also like the sound that says "unleash the beast!" from a more aggressive cam.
Was comparing cams last night in Chevy's Performance Catalogue and the LS7 cam (the one in the LS3 kit) isn't all that aggressive compared to the 'hot cam.' What cam do you have in yours Camaro Dude? |

To be honest, I don't know much about cam specs, but I know that .600+" lift is high
