you know, guys who can afford it but undecided whether to get a V6 or the SS will tend to go with the SS after reading so many validation and defensive posts from V6 owners. Every thread about the V6 get crowded with people self validating and defending why they got the V6, yada yada yada....sure, SS owners go into attack but it truly is annoying to hear the excuses why people got the V6 then they turn around and always comparing it to SS and modding it to get to SS level....it is a contradiction. V6 guys tell SS guys not to jump in this type of threads but V6 guys should also stop polluting with their all their personal reasons why they got the V6. Why not keep them to yourself? The V6 is not a musclecar, period. Stop fighting anyone stating that fact. It has an adequate engine for its hefty mass, that is it. It is not fast....yes it is fast for granny but if you are a performance car enthusiast, you know the V6 camaro is NOT fast, it is not a musclecar. If you think it is, great, just stop validating and justifying every chance you get. Just makes it obvious what you are trying to suppress...
More and more are trading in their V6 for the SS and those same people posted similar threads most of you have posted here about why they got the V6, how great it is, etc. etc...subconcious won in the end.
Oh yeah, I did say I love my V6. Pick up truck!

edit: having said all that...If I had $22K - $26k budget and want something that looks good and can be fun...a brand new LS Camaro would be a good choice....a nice fresh canvas. Forget the 1Lt and 2Lt. LS is the better buy.

Well, it seems like you came off like an asshole again. Where does your SS stack up against the other SS's on here? Being all about performance, where are your time slips? So far the fastest v6 so far has run a 12.4. Have you even taken yours to the track? Mine heads there this week for it's first trips and I plan on enjoying it.

Do you think the guys with the 396SS in 1967 were such a-holes to the guys with the 350SS?
We all had our reason for getting what we got. Yours was to have a fast ride. You obviously wanted something faster.

I never said it was stock. Yours wasn't stock either. Just don't understand why you want to see who's is bigger/badder. Don't understand the hate from some of you.

If a twin turbo V-6 is good enough for jay Leno, its good enough for me. I get the V-6 thing. It might be all you could afford at the time or wanted at the time. Modern technology allows us to get some amazing horsepower out of just about any motor. Intense Racing here in Ohio specialized in the 3800 V-6's and had some sub 10 sec cars. I am definately more impressed by a 10 sec V-6 than I am a 10 sec V-8. Just takes more money to get there...most of the time. Not all SS owners are jerks, and I am guessing not too much has changed since the hey day of the Muscle Car era, why else is the 71' Chevelle 454 LS-6 one of the most desirable Chevelles ever....cuz it was the meanest and baddest of its day.

A-holes then. A-holes now. So, when the z28 does come out, do you think their owners will snub their noses at you SS owners? It just doesn't make sense the crap being pushed here.

dang right, cause at that point the SS won't be the meanest or the baddest, which it isn't anyways (GT-500). The SS owners that have that problem will go out and buy superchargers or turbos to keep up... I won't be there anytime soon, a 13 sec car is plenty quick, I am secure enough in myself, I don't need a car to boost my self esteem. Keepin up with the Joneses is not for me

I love my LS, but if i could afford the SS, i would have got an SS.

i love 90% of my LS the other 10% is not having an LS3 engine in it.

But if i had an SS i would never make bad comments about the V6, or would say "its not a muscle car". thats just retarded in my opinion. I don't go making fun of guys driving corollas.
