Rudy,
Do you have any 17", 5 spoke, black wheels to fit the LT?

Rudy: My stock Pirrelli's are both worn out and not safe for the winters in WV. I ideally will have another vehicle for a beater(ideally, pending some finances) but i will still need to drive the camaro. Winters here vary alot, some days 50-60 degrees, one time it was single digits for a week, another right at 25 degrees with like 10" snow(needed chains on my FWD Scion lol)

Basically, what tire will give me good warm weather performance, good life, and still be able to handle some snow, maybe even deep if necessary...

Thanks!

Edit: car is an SS with the roller skates..

Here's a pic of my winter setup that I got from Tire Rack. I bought 17" Moda EB1 Bright Silver wheels with 225/65R17 Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires and TPMS sensors. Rudy was a great help and double-checked that my order was filled correctly.

Are you wanting to do a winter package or tires? It sounds like you may be wanting an all season tire? Obviously a winter tire is MUCH better in the snow/ice, but you can get past some light snow with the all season. Let me know what your thinking.

This might be the wrong place to ask but are the roller skate brake pads going to become the default brake upgrade in the future?

I have a 2010 2SS/RS with the regular brakes. I'm looking for a set of winter tires/wheels and would prefer to go 18" for cost reasons but I don't want to be forced to sell them in the future if I end up with the roller skate brake pads.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

^ You will always be able to get aftermarket pads with out the roller skate dampers. If you do decide you want to go with the dampers for some reason you would need to stay with a 20 inch wheel. There are no 18 inch wheels I am aware of that will clear the dampers.

Thanks for the info.

Do you happen to know if the aftermarket pads solve brake squeak? I don't have any problems now but don't want to be stuck choosing between living with squeaky brakes and replacing my winter rims/tires in the future.

You're welcome! Unfortunately aftermarket pads will not elimate the squeek. Basically is was a design problem and the dampers were the solution. You have to decide which way you want to go. If you go with a 20 inch package then you can run the dampers and not worry about it.
