Thanks Jannett Racing.

I see we might have a new winner, halltech yellow jacket ($329) is less expensive then CAI ($399) and sure looks to me about equal in performance results and quality... what do you think?

Thank you Jannetty for the good work.

Thanks for all the great work! How about offering a package price for a CAI, ADM scoop, and SCT Tuner with a Tune?

The TRIC mad around 10 RWHP on the dyno, but when it rained, the filter got soaked. This did not cause any issues for the first year or so, but eventually where standing water and more torrential rains came in CA and other states, we had three hydrolocked incidents within one month. One was likely fraud, but the other two were friends, so it is unlikely they were lying.

We immediately discontinued this intake and converted back to an underhood version which was a hot air breather, but safe from rain.

Hydrolock is real, but does not happen very often, but like unemployment, nothing is more depressing. The other issue is that, aside from the hydrolock risk, the filter self cleans during rain storms, and guess where the dirt, grime and mud end up?

I would not recommend using this with our intake, but some folks never drive in the rain, and for those guys, this would be a sweet mod for sure, but 10 more HP can be gleaned through tuning, and is a lot safer.

Maybe ADM has some test information they could share in this regard that would refute what I think. I would be glad to listen to their side.

Jim
Great Info Jim,I actually grew up in your world LOL.(Corvettes ,I dont miss them)Your tric intake came through our shop as well as hunderds of the killer bee (Not sure the name pre c6 days) systems..I even swore by your systems at the time. But I must say that we did our home work and yes the race version will get dirtier, but filter cleaner is cheap and our filters are not to expensive either. Most just have an extra on the shelf come oil change time(when I recommend the filter be cleaned). The water has not been a problem, actually NUMBER 9 on the forum here has the most daily driven miles I know...Alot in heavy rain.He has been a staple for us on both tuning, testing and overall evaluations of what parts we make.So no real danger, but if the customer feels there might be danger than they may not want the extra Hp..No biggy right!

On a side note - We doubled the size of the scoop some time back for more testing, still no issues...and we did go faster at the track,Just ask NUMBER 9

How much benefit would this combo see from a tune?

Id like to know this as well.
