8:06.. i will bet the S/C motors HP will not rated as high as the CTS-V.. I'm betting the '12 Z/28 will be rated at 505HP, just wait..

No way the Chevy Camaro will get as high a HP rating like the CTS-V..and if it really is 4,000lbs, WoW.. needs a diet already

It will easily be faster then 12 parsecs

any by the way,

12 Parsecs = 2.30082338 × 1014 miles

If the Z28 were moving at at the speed of light, it would take is 3.26 years to travel 1 parsec.

with that theory, about the power output, why does the base V-6 camaro get a higher output then the base CTS? they are aimed at different segments. luxury performance versus just basic performance. EVEN if they rate the camaro lower I will be willing to bet it will be about the same as the CTS-V's power out put.

look at the 4th gens. corvette was rated higher but in reality they were a lot closer then GM officially announced.

4,000 lbs. why is everyone caught up on this weight thing? doesn't the CTS-V show how well it handles weighting more? not saying a lighter camaro isn't better. but such negativity isn't justified.

7:51 is my guess.

Curious. The Sport Auto test was used for the ZR1? Same for the ZO6? I believe GM themselves did a 7:26:4 and all they added to the stock car was saftey gear. And the ZO6 did a 7:42.99.

Hope it's a couple ticks faster than the V. But for betting purposes, just throwing an unused number out there. The good times have already been picked.

I think you might be missing my point. IMO neither I, nor Ford from what I can see, underestimates GM....I fully expect an A game effort for the Z/28. That said, the last few years have given me the distinct impression that GM has not being according Ford the same 'respect'. Put simply I think GM has actually been underestimating Ford's high performance efforts of late and, if they do the same with the GT500, they may pay for it dearly.
