I had always followed the concept since it was first shown and I always really liked the look and performance as I saw the Camaro developed, plus I have fond memories of my parents IROC convertable 305. But I originally was set on getting a 5.0 Coyote Mustang but then I saw the Camaro in my Dealers show room sat in it, and test drove and that was it ordered one on the spot.

I was looking for a new car as my 2002 Intrepid had 130,000 mi on it. We had looked at a lot of different makes/models of cars & test drove many, but I didn’t like anything I had seen. :( Then one day my husband, Mike, drove home a Crossfire he had bought just for a toy without talking to me first. I was livid & said “Okay, it is on! I’m getting whatever I want now”. I took a day off determined to test drive everything I ever thought I wanted. My brother-in-law had suggested I should get a Camaro. I was not taken with the initial pics I saw of it. I just thought it looked angry. I drove lot of cars that day including the Camaro. When I drove the Camaro I immediately got this OMG feeling & the permagrin set in. That evening Mike asked me about each car & I told him my likes/dislikes of each. When I talked about the Camaro I was excited & Mike said I just lit up. He said he could tell that if I got anything else I was not going to be happy. I was mad at the sales chick at our local dealership because of the way she treated me. That weekend we drove to another dealership where on-line they had one in the color I wanted (the only thing I knew from day 1 I wanted in a new car was the color). It was gone but the dealer was desperate to sell something as interstate construction was taking a big bite out of their sales. They found me one exactly like I wanted & gave me a killer deal so I bought it. Monday afternoon I drove Ruby home & have been in love with it ever since.
thanks for sharing :-)

I have 2 others and it's cooler than the 2007 Covette I sold to buy it!

Definitely NOT a big robot of some silly b*tch actress!

I sold my 2007 Charger SRT-8 to Carmax and was on my way to buy a Challenger. My buddy picked me up and as we were driving by our local Chevy dealer I stopped by to drive the Camaro. I've never looked back

I have owned 4 Camaros previously. If it were not the 5th gen it would have been an old one. I don't really care for other cars the way I do Camaro. They are just a way to get around. Or they are a truck. I like trucks too.

My family has always been a GM family. From my Dad's '57 Bel Aire droptop, Mom's '57 HT Bel Aire, learning to drive on my Grandmother's 65 Nova with no power anything and on. The only time I haven't had a GM vehicle was for a short time when I had my '65 Ford Galaxy and that was because she met an untimely end in an argument with a telephone pole. One of my first boyfriends had a '70s Camaro with a Slapstick shift, I can't remember which year at the moment, and the thing I remember the most was the fun we had just driving. I decided that after being my family's support system for the last 15 years, that I wanted something for me. So, my own droptop is on order and I can't wait!!!!!!

I've always been a chevy/gm guy. in 1979, I had a 1970 Camaro and loved that car. Dropped an LT1 in it...oh the power! LOL

Years later, I saw the Concept Camaro and I told my wife "If GM builds that car, I'm getting one!"

June 2009...I had my 5th gen camaro!

Did my first paint job in 74 on a 69 Camaro SS/RS Ragtop, orange on white been Hooked ever sense. Now the kids have 1 year left in school I thought ....Hum I better do it now or I'll bitch for the rest of my life. Back in the day Camaros could be had for as little as $1500.00....Not the case no more, I blame it ALL on the "Hotwheels" collection I had cause I never did grow up, just Old. Have been driving my 66 Impala SS convertible for the past 33 years and I hope this car makes it 33 years down the road cause at 83 by then I might have to make my own Fuel. Always Loved Chevys
