No performance mods, cosmetic mods like black lug nuts, painted engine cover, etc.

I agree 100% if you want a modded ZL1 wait for somebody else to do it and take the financial hit, then you can buy it for well below stock untouched market value.

If anything I'm wanting company's to hurry up and publish bolt ons we can buy for the zl1, this year, long tube headers and intake, simple yes.
Next year, heads, snout, pulleys, cam! Best thing is suspension is excellent, and brakes are large enough to handle it! Headers and intake I found 1 place with pricing to sell me separate New Shelby is sick to, my buddy's buying one and can't wait to go on a cruZe with him!! |

We will most likely not be leaving our Camaro stock.
![]() The sway bars are already off the car, drop springs are in the works. We've got some tricks up our sleeve on the suspension side of things... as well as some *ahem* other plans. It's going to be a fun year around Pfadt Race Engineering!

If you plan on keeping the car for a long time wouldn't mods make it worthless? No collector car is ever modded out they want it original.

Since there will only be ~ 1,800 tp 2,000 2012 ZL1s produced (my guess), I plan to avoid all modifications. Most of the folks who buy these cars are never satisfied with their "stock" condition and will change them in significant ways, making the cars that remain entirely stock the real rare ones. When I go to a car show I am always drawn to the original cars and not the modified ones. Anyone can mod their car, but so few remain content with what the factory vehicle is. They have to change things up. I hope I am a minority, let the mods continue!

For now, as the car stands, I don't plan on doing anything other than the possibility of adding gill stripes to the rear quarters, which I may or may not do. I absolutely love the car as is, find it to be more than adequate, and look forward to getting to know more about it in a performance role on a track to see exactly what it's parameters are, and mine as well. It's much more advanced than one was lead to believe, superlatives aren't adequate to describe this car.

From reading this thread, I may be in the minority but mods to mine are starting this month. Goal is to add power while keeping it daily drivable on pump gas. Mostly mods to make the engine breathe better and run cool.

I'm still on the fence about mods. I kept all the plastics and framed all the paperwork already. If it weren't for Barrett Jackson I would probably do upgrades, but I believe the car will be worth more all original than modified. Need that winning lottery ticket so I can buy another one and do upgrades on it.

If you happy with 495 rwhp, and getting beat by exotics & cars like mine, then leave it as is.
And I'm covered under warranty too ![]() F**K it, make it an animal! You know the old saying, if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it. |
