Confused, so you never ran stock, you want with the Borla catback? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

My first run was with the Borla Touring Cat-back. All else stock.

Well, everyone insists that Cat-backs add ZERO horsepower. So to all those, then my first run with the with the Borla Touring Cat-back was STOCK and should be on the bone stock list.

But that's splitting hairs. All I care about is the 1.1+ ET and 6+MPH gains since.

However, just for fun, since I'll be finished with all my bolt-ons soon, I'll swap the stock exhaust (resonator and trash cans and all) back in and do a day at the track. If I LOSE ET and MPH (all else being equal), then the "they say Cat-backs add ZERO power" crowd will have some 'spainin to do. That, or it will be empirical proof that Cat-backs add no power and the Conventional Wisdom is right this time.

As it is, the "Shorties are for sound only and add no power" crowd are still scratching their heads.

Too hot yesterday, so I stayed at home. The DA was over 3000, and the only change was a 160* thermostat. But the gears, EWP and UDP should be in this week or next and I'll be back at the the track for that 11-second slip in two weeks, I hope.

Well, things are moving. I took my Fiero down to WhoDeanie's Customs in Woodstock, GA, and they got her running in less than a day. Yay! I came across WhoDeanie's when I went to visit John at Atlanta Performance and Fabrication (forum sponsor). They are helping me with the final bolt-ons: the 3.45 gear pumpkin, the Meziere electric water pump, and the SLP underdrive pulley.

We are also doing BMR front and rear sways, BMR 1" lowering springs, a tranny cooler (B&M 70297).

For anybody who wants to race, I plan on joining the LS1GTO gang for their get-together in Bristol Dragway, Tennessee before they do a Dragon Run next week. So, http://bristolstreetfights.com/ Thursday evening, June 2nd, 5pm-9pm. Weather pending.

If weather or other events prevent the Bristol race, then I'll be in Steele, Alabama on Sunday afternoon, June 5th.

You do have one clean Fiero From what I understand that colors pretty rare too.

We'll get these parts on the Camaro this week and hopefully see some 11's next week

Up till now, I've done most the work. APF is helping me with the final parts. I don't have a place to do all the work (no garage, just a yard), and the suspension parts need a lift.

The Meziere electric water pump will 1) enable and maintain cooling, especially for drag racing, and 2) free up some rotational horsepower from the accessories.

I'll have an override-on switch on the EWP so that I can turn it on in the staging lanes or even with power-on/engine-off, which means heads-up races and delays at the track won't be a problem because I won't be stopping for a half-hour at a time to ice the blower like my oppponents.
