There really is one simple solution to stop these threads.....

Have someone from GM come on the boards and tell us the actual status of the lights. I'm talking about a straight answer. I'm fine.... I can wait to have my car built with the full on ABL. I am in no rush...don't need to be the first on the block with the new car. Hell...I'd like to be. But....realistically..... We have thread after thread over this. I see the enthusiasm people have over this feature and how it was shown. I want it just like those guys. If GM axed it all together? No...I still would not cancel the order. But, if it were coming out later? Might as well wait for the ABL AND the HUD! Screw it.

Thats EXACTLY how I feel, I will wait a few more months if need be
to get what I wont, but if someone dont tell us fairly soon (about ABL)
we wont have that option. that would really SUCK!

I would delay as well. I'm just worried that GM will say ABL on the doors is good enough and call it a day, preventing delays and lost sales. ABL on the doors only would be a huge disappointment, much more so than an ABL delay.

I believe this is about abl but also about the fact that there are many unanswered questions and things that arent settled when they all should be settled within a month from launch.

People want to and are spending there hard earned money! If they want to complain and be pissed they have the Right this is America right?

Well sort of...if their own website shows off CGM and ABL...and then people don't get CGM and/or ABL, there's some misinformation.

It hasn't happened yet. But it's leaning that way.

You guys are throwing stones blindly. You don't have all the information and all you've done is put down a deposit. Which you can get back. Especially if the car isn't what is was advertised to be when you ordered.

The truth is we don't know what is going on. And yes that is a very good reason to be pissed off. As this gets down to the wire, they should be giving you more information. I agree. But you keep trying to find more crap to heap on the pile. If ABL is the Key feature that you want then you have every right to demand to know what's going on. I hope GM can answer you soon and can give you an adequate solution. Ideally, it will be right at launch.

Let's look at some history.

Hud: We know very early on that it was going to be delayed.
White: Again GM told us early on that it was going to be delayed.
CGM: GM was a little late in letting us know that this color was delayed but they told us why and were up front about it.
Z28: They told us very early on that there were no plans for a Z28 for SORP. Again saying, it's not dead, it's just not back yet.
ABL: They were very honest about the fact that they have a problem. Since then it's all been very hush hush. Which is very frustrating. But in light of how much they've told us in the past, My guess is that they don't know the outcome yet. So that leaves us left to wait and see what they are going to do.

You are using this as a launching pad for slamming GM's handling of the launch. I say, if this is the worst of the problems, then this launch has been a huge success. If you expect perfection from everything GM does then you might as well not buy the Camaro or any other car. It won't be perfect.

By all means continue to Rant about it. But, keep it honest and focused on the issue at hand, GM's silence on the issue, Don't let this be a reason to Flame GM for the entire launch, that's not fair.
