hey jim, i deal with jeremy carlson @ extreme performance in palm city florida...do you have any dealings with them..they are a high end alpine shop and jeremy has been waiting to hear something..just thought i would ask..

Go to Alpines website and find a dealer thats close to you; they can get it preordered for you.

Right now, according to my rep as of an hour ago, Alpine's sales department still has not released firm pricing etc on the dashkits. And they are not taking orders for them yet (there's no SKUs for them in their system TO be able to order them). Which isn't to say that a dealer still can't take a deposit and put you to the front of their line (first rights of refusal, as it were!).
My experience with Alpine of late, though, is that they won't permit orders until it is VERY close to shipping, so we may still see it around the time Jim suggested (and he works there, so he is in a position to know).

great follow up zach, if anyone has any questions down the road, i can vouch for zach...1 of the most intuitive stereo people you will get to know...no bs and he can help you fill your stereo needs.extreme is also a vendor and has a facebook page of some serious builds..

the longer i wait, the more i like the metra kit! alpine said they will release this dash kit in spring 2011 and now they aren't even close to finish which means nothing good and waiting another year for a "maybee" release with bugs and etc. metra's kit is right now updated and has no known bugs anymore and simply works, is cheap and looks good. in my opinion, if alpine want to make some money with their kit they should hurry a little and try not to have it and the end for 900$ or such jokes. i wonder why metra was so much faster than alpine in the production after anouncement?

just my two cents to this kit and sorry for beein a little angry, but i'm waiting now nearly a year for nothing, no updates, no news ...
