Do not ever park an expensive car at a high school.

Principle said the kid didn't even have a reason the car, which really pissed me off. I tried getting the kids name but they wouldn't tell me, I'm guessing it was for the kids safety.

Anyways the rough estimate for the damage was 1500k, if the kid can't pay that, then I can press charges. Police said since the kid was 18 he could go to jail for up to a year for vandalism. I could honestly care less if that kid goes to jail, he deserves it. But I'm leaning more towards the payment agreement just because I want my car fixed asap. If I were to press charges I wouldn't get a cent from him and my insurance would cover the damage. (or at least I think? Haven't really talked to my insurance) I wish I could through him in jail and still have his parents pay for the damage.

You can STILL PRESS charges, and if he's lives at home with parents while in school then the parents still have custody and can be sued in SMALL CLAIMS COURT!

Great to hear you found him. Where is KatoKaelin and his Eye for an Eye Daytime Judge Show when you need him? Anyone remember that? As a judgement Key the h*ll out of his car and /or destroy his property on National TV. Seriously, hope you get your car repaired and hope the jealous blank learns a lesson.Make him pay.

Sent him to jail. And he will be responsible for restitution.

If you found him please please PLEASE press charges! Sadly crimes with property damage have the lowest clearance rate because its really difficult to catch the person responsible. So when you do they need to feel it!

That was just before he murdered his wife, wasn't it?

Press charges, if the judge agrees to restitution you still get paid with court order or consequences if he does not come through. If you just get a pay agreement and he does not follow thorugh then it is a civil matter and will cost you to enforce it through small claims court. Hope it works out.

Yeah, definitely press charges. I've had too many bad experiences by showing leniency, sadly.

It's safer and the system is there for a reason. Will definitely teach a lesson

Let us know what you end up doing. Although to me, it's a no brainer

You can't be nice to scumbags. Period. They won't learn a lesson from your kindness, they probably won't learn a lesson from jail either. At least take some satisfaction that the anguish he caused you will be multiplied tenfold on him if he gets convicted. Even if he only gets a minimum sentence, or probation. It's something that will be permanantly on his record. It will also be inconveniencing him long after the key marks on your car have been repaired.
Seriously. Bury the guy.

Not only all that but next time he does something like this it will be easier for the next guy to get his car fixed or whatever this scum does.
