The GT500's will go fast straight, but at the end of the straight were you turn left or right is were the outcome changes, fast.

But I was talking about a road coarse where the GT500 has to turn not 1/4 or 1/8 mile where the track is just straight.

it's been said a few times that all mustangs have a handling disadvantage in general but more recently to the camaro

this video was originally posted by Roush428R and explains the GT500's downfall

Assuming that Roush still has SRA, what if SVT learned it's lesson and copied Roush on the the Suspension part that = ownage

Ford chose a different path than Chevy and Dodge and is going with smaller displacement supercharged/turbocharged motors while Chevy and Dodge went the old fashioned way and stayed with normally aspirated big cu in motors. I keep hearing nasty rumors that the GT Mustang may even get rid of the V8 instead of a V6, granted the V6 is twin turbo and is 450 hp, not that far of a stretch when you see the 2010 Taurus SHO twin turbo V6 is 365 hp. In my opinion we should be comparing the top model in each cars line for bragging rights that pits the SRT8, SS, and GT500 since all three are factory built. IMO of course

Top model for the chally and camaro will be srt10 and the z28 in the very near future u can bank on it . Remember when the stang first hit the streets best game in town was the 300 hp gt. U guys have had 4 years for specialty cars like the gt500 and such. Until that happpens big block small block bleh its not a fair fight atm imo.

My two cents on this is;

Straight line performance..................
The Mustang v6 is going to get beat bad by the v6 and very bad by the V8 Camaro.
The Mustang GT V8 will beat the Camaro v6 by a reasonable amount.
The Mustang GT V8 will be beaten by the Camaro V8 by a substantial amount.
The supercharged Mustangs V8 (Rousch, Shelby or Saleen) will beat the Camaro v6 or V8

On a road course much of this is still up in the air.................
The Camaro V8 will beat the Mustang v6 and V8 GT.
Will the Camaro v6 beat the V8 Mustang?
Will the Camaro V8 beat the supercharged Mustang V8s? (Rousch, Shelby or Saleen)

When we start supercharging the Camaro V8 all this will change.............
The Camaro will rule!

For what its worth The Mustang GT is a nice car it runs and handles very nice, but I will confirm this fairly with our Mustang GT as soon as I get my new Camaro SS/RS broken in. I think it will represent a better than stock GT.

Our Stang, well my Son's Stang now. I am getting a Camaro SS/RS!
