One of the benefits of turning 18 in '66:

Owned new: 67, 67 R/AIII, 72 GTOs

Driven new friends cars: 67 SS 396 Chevelle, 67 Chevelle Malibu 327/325 HP, 70 chevelle 327 and 70 hemi Cuda and other M/Cs.

I voted Chevelle because: HARDTOP not a coupe, the cam lope and firing order of those V8s produced such a sound, Hardtop, room for four, trunk would hold a full size spare and an ice chest or two or three and luggage, Hardtop, and with some minor mods you could get decent handling and stopping, Hardtop and they just looked better and did I mention Hardtop.

But will buy a 2012 Camaro because that is what they make now and I do want a M/C that I can drive and drive and take on the beach etc...not another vintage that is good for Sunday. But do wish the Camaro was a Hardtop...what a look that would be...

I own a 2010 ZL-575 camaro, a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 and a 1969 Chevelle SS 396....ive owned alot of chevelles my 2010 Camaro is one of the most powerful, best handling cars and best looking cars ive ever owned ...with that said, the 70 Chevelle 454 is just an ICON of muscle-car greatness so thats my vote. Maybe the Camaro will attain that status someday.

I'm not surprised the Chevelle beat the Camaro. I am very surprised that it's beating the '63 Vette. The poor '36 Suburban has no chance against the '69 Camaro.
