My thoughts on all of ZL1 and GT500 discussions going on.

I still don't understand all the complaints and opposition... If we were talking about Cellular carriers here.. I doubt anyone would want solely at&t, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint to be constantly on top and just putting the others out of business.. What incentive would they as a company have to really put serious thought and effort in to new products or markets? It's just funny. We're all against monopolies, until it comes to cars.. Then, we only want our own choice to ever be on top. Let's say Ford put the screws to GM and Mopar so badly, for so long, that only the Mustang was left... Or only the Camaro.. Or only the Challenger.. Do you really want that type of world? If you own a SS and get beat by a GT, say thanks, move on, get more parts or increase your driving skill. I personally don't want a world where every other sport car is a damn Camaro. Hell, even Wile E. Coyote figured that one out the one time he finally caught the Road Runner.... He had no further purpose in life and let the bird go. Realizing that his purpose wasn't to catch the Road Runner, it was the chase.

What fun is it when you know you can always beat the person in the other lane w/o a doubt?

I agreed with you. Look what happen when you are on top. Camaro been on top since 2009 and there's basically no change at all. Mustang on top from 2005-2009 (because there's no competition) and there's no change to the car. 2010 to 2013 Mustang...look at all the changes!!
2010 Refresh
2011 5.0 engine
2013 a refresh of the front and back, recaro options, Hid and LED standard, 4" lcd screen with trackapps in the dash, Track package with improved braking and suspension, 420hp.

I guess it's good to be 2nd place ( in sale ). I am leaning toward a Camaro but i am jealous of some of the changes in the Mustang.
I hope the Mustang out sell the Camaro in 2012 so Chevy can give the Camaro a little update. I want at least these option on the Camaro:
Gps Navigation, Recaro seats, a little more power, perhaps a refresh of the front or rear.

That's exactly how I feel about Ford and the Mustang over the past few years. I respect and appreciate the heck out of them, especially with what they've done for the enthusiast community, but I can't see myself ever owning one as they just don't do it for me.

I think that my fellow enthusiast is trying to say that you are on a Camaro forum and have a habit of posting pro-Mustang commentary. While we respect our rivals here, our members should be aware that this community is not a free-for-all. We are Camaro enthusiasts.

I owned a 87 notchback 5.0, no radio, no air. I ordered it that way. I didn't have any problem beating 5.7 Chevys and Pontiacs.

Chevrolet and Ford fans BOTH win. At least there are two world class pony cars. The ZL1 will end up the champion in overall driving by the average Joe. Maybe the Gt500 in straight line. maybe.

I'm betting the nannies in the ZL1 will make the superhero performance available to mere mortals.

the track is nowhere near nuremberg. nuremberg is on the east near the czech republic, the track(nurburgring) is northwest germany.
