That's a little different then myself and others I know that bought either just the IPF tune or the tune with their sc kit.
I was told that yes the first file is a canned tune with my area taken in to account. But that Arno would tweak either on the dyno and afterward by obd2 data and this is exactly what happened. I went thought 4 different tweaks on original dyno an have since had a couple tweaks by Arno after the car has had some learning time. Did you contact them on the tune ? Any updates tried ?

Also, your claim that no canned tune will ever be as good as a dyno tune isn't completely valid. If it is, please explain to me how Janetty is able to dial in about 99% of the tunes they put out for the v8s in the first try? Even cars who have gone to get a dyno tune done after having a Janetty tune have come back to report that they didn't get a dyno tune because the dyno tuner said the tune was spot on already. |

previously mentioned before, without my going all the way back on my previous experience, the "Tuner Tech" should be performing and installing the tune on a DYNO and making corrections as he goes is the only way to go! Everything else is totally irrelevant!

My experience will not be duplicated, as any company that does not take the time to make sure that customer is totally satisfied, regardless as to the tune being a trial type tune and it is paid for, proper care should be applied in securing that tune is the right one for your vehicle and yes, once installed, it will need some tweaking for maximum performance! Again, this was not offered to me at the time mine was installed, before and even after the Dyno session I paid for, but a followup of this tune was not an option at the time, but simply ignored and it was my decision was to not have anymore to do with this company, simple as that! Have I since found any other tunes available for my 2012 LFX Camaro? That answer is simply a No! If I want an additional 5 to 6 more horsepower, then I will step up and use 93 octane in my car, as these IPF Tunes that they advertise "Do Not Offer" a 10% Increase in Horsepower at all, because they cannot guarantee their Claims of exactly that! You will not see a 32 Horsepower Increase with these canned tunes on a Stock LFX Engine, Sorry!

Oh wow, just realized you have an LFX. You realize this is the LLT section right? How can you not have found another tune for the LFX? HP Tuners and EFI Live both support the LFX so you can go to any tuner that has either of those programs and have him tune it?

...not to mention that the dyno tune you speak of is really not applicable/available to the 10/11 LLT owners. Data log and dyno log is what we've got. |

Don't know about IPF but if you go the trifecta webpage, they have a list of dealers by state. Might try looking there?

Here is an interesting one for you guys and gals to think about for a while. I too have experienced the sooty tips for almost 3 years. I know they run rich, they like it rich. However, for the past week I have been running my new updated tune from Vince at Trifecta. (I did some data logging a couple weeks back while at the track.) This new tune was loaded last week Saturday, I have not seen the sooty tips since the new tune has been loaded. Now I have asked what Vince did with this new tune and found his answer interesting. I have not had a chance to data log again to check on those results, but plan to do so soon.

I'm not going to argue with you wyd_tkrk. I don't understand why you keep bringing true dyno tunes into these "talks". I am not comparing Trifecta and IPF "email" order tunes to something done on the dyno.
As for gains with the IPF tune, I can produce for you three dyno sheets showing great gains for an LLT with an IPF tune. I'd love to see your take on those. As for you and your LFX, you have more options and availability for a true dyno tune than we have with the LLT, so I don't see why you won't go and get one done? Sorry. I won't stand by and watch you spout false information b/c of an agenda you have against IPF. If you have any issues with me, feel free to shoot a PM my way.

I just had my car datalogged a month or so ago, and even with sooty tips, there were no changes to my tune.
