I know Tony Fulton, I'll discuss the front plate bill with him! Thanks Scourage for that info. Meanwhile I keep my front license plate in my front glove box!
Yes, we could cruise O sometime.Last week I had to give up my baby for a Cobalt!!!!! And I'm starting to get the withdrawl shakes. The Dealer is doing some painting and window tints for me, so the Ruby Jewel and I are seperated for awhile.

I believe it is a "primary offense". At least it better be.
Douglas County Sherriff pulled me over in my old Silverado for having plate covers. Nothing fancy, just a plastic cover to keep the plate from getting too dirty and dinged up. Plus we were having some issues at the time around here with people "stealing" your tags (which I thought was stupid, how they heck were they ever going to stick again....but crooks aren't always the brightest), so the cover gave me just a little bit more security. Sure, it was a fix-it ticket, but still. If having the plate covered/protected is a primary offense, then I'm going to guess not having one is too. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love to have it be a secondary offense. |

I posted another thread too, but which one of you is driving around Omaha in a SIM SS with stripes and unpainted GFX? I just saw you driving last night out on 156th and West Dodge....I'm the guy in the Enclave who came flying up next to you to give you the thumbs up......

we came by our RS in Kansas via Babe Houser Motor in Concordia (MSRP) and of all of the luck, there was no front license bracket sent with the car since it was going to Kansas. Looks darn good as is! Since she's IOM the cops hardly see her coming anyway! At this point, we love the Kearney police department!!!

It is considered a primary offense/vehicle violation, and yes you can be stopped for it at any time. I'm reserving my opinion on this issue. However I will say that I love the way the Camaro looks without anything covering up the front end, and leave it at that.

Long and short of it is that as of right now, Nebraska requires a front and rear plate mounted on the exterior of the vehicle at least 12 inches above the ground. Also, it should be noted that "ALL" letters and numbers have to be visible on the plate. For example if you have a plate frame that covers up the registration tags, you can be stopped. Or in the example above where there was a plastic plate cover. Those are sometimes tinted and can be hard to see through at night which could also be the cause for getting stopped.

Fog lights in a business district (bored small town cop). I've been pulled over for a lanyard hanging from my mirror and ended up being searched 2x by different cops and the car searched 3x. Breath alyzer, the works. Sorry officer, i did nothing wrong, why don't you move on and waste an hour of someone else's time. I've also been pulled over for my license plate being too low to the ground. Again, thx for wasting my time. Sorry if i come off as a dick, just annoyed as to why i am being bothered when there is more important things they should be attending to. |

Could we find a loacal sports bar that might be open to letting us park in the lot and maybe catch the game on pay-per view? I really don't know if I want to be anywhere near the stadium because it gets kind of nuts down there sometimes.:party0038:

A lot of sports bars will have the game on and don't care who shows up. That's kind of the problem, they are usually nuts as well.
